Rams' Myles Garrett: May not practice this week
Coach Sean McVay said Monday that Garrett may not participate in practice this week, Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports.
Garrett sat out last Tuesday's joint practice with the Cowboys due to swelling in his knee, and while he was spotted working on the side Thursday, he was a DNP for this past Saturday's preseason contest at Kansas City. The Rams will continue to take a cautious approach with their biggest offseason prize to ensure he's as healthy as possible for a Week 1 matchup with the 49ers in Melbourne, Australia on Thursday, Sept. 10.

Garrett and Puka Nacua (groin) are getting in a star-studded side session Thursday as they work their way back from their respective injuries. Both standout contributors are expected to be available well before the Rams kick off regular-season play Sept. 10 against the 49ers, but Garrett is unlikely to suit up for Saturday's preseason opener against the Chiefs.

McVay added Tuesday that Garrett is "85 percent." Garrett still has a month to get back to full health before the Rams' Week 1 matchup with the 49ers in Melbourne, Australia.

Garrett has missed the team's last three sessions as he continues to deal with lower-body soreness. While the 29-year-old is expected to be sidelined for Monday's practice as well, head coach Sean McVay said the injury isn't serious and Garrett should be back for the next practice block.
