Rams' Myles Garrett: Available to practice Sunday
Rams head coach Sean McVay said that Garrett (knee) will practice Sunday, Nate Atkins of The Athletic reports.
Garrett didn't play during the preseason and missed much of training camp while dealing with swelling in his left knee, but the star edge rusher looks like he still has a decent chance of suiting up in Thursday's season opener versus the 49ers in Melbourne, Australia. The Rams won't reveal the extent of Garrett's practice activity until they publish their first injury report of the season Monday, and McVay said that he will provide an update on Garrett's game status Tuesday.

Rams' Myles Garrett: Aiming for Week 1 return
Head coach Sean McVay said Monday that Garrett (knee) is making "really good progress" in the edge rusher's recovery, with the goal of playing in Week 1 against the 49ers, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Garrett, whom the Rams acquired in an offseason trade with Cleveland, didn't play in the preseason and has been unable to practice for most of August while dealing with swelling in his knee. The Rams remain hopeful that Garrett will recover by the time the team kicks off regular-season play against the 49ers in Melbourne, Australia on Thursday, Sept. 10. Los Angeles added more star power to its defensive line Sunday by signing defensive tackle Aaron Donald to a one-year, $20 million contract.

Rams' Myles Garrett: DNP on Sunday
Garrett (knee) did not participate in Sunday's practice, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Garrett was not dressed for practice Sunday and was working off to the side with trainers. The Defensive Player of the Year's chances at a repeat award jumped this weekend as the Rams announced that Aaron Donald was returning to the team on a one-year $20 million deal. It is unclear when Garrett will return to practice, but if the team waits much longer to get him back in pads, there is a chance he will miss the Week 1 divisional matchup with the 49ers on Thursday, Sept. 10.

Rams' Myles Garrett: Doesn't practice Monday
Garrett (knee) did not participate in Monday's training camp practice, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
Garrett has been held out of practice for the last couple of weeks while recovering from swelling in his knee. He's unlikely to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Chargers, but he still has time to progress enough in his recovery to be cleared to play Week 1 against the 49ers on Thursday, Sept. 10.

Rams' Myles Garrett: May not practice this week
Coach Sean McVay said Monday that Garrett may not participate in practice this week, Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports.
Garrett sat out last Tuesday's joint practice with the Cowboys due to swelling in his knee, and while he was spotted working on the side Thursday, he was a DNP for this past Saturday's preseason contest at Kansas City. The Rams will continue to take a cautious approach with their biggest offseason prize to ensure he's as healthy as possible for a Week 1 matchup with the 49ers in Melbourne, Australia on Thursday, Sept. 10.
