Cowboys' Amani Oruwariye: Placed on IR due to foot injury
The Cowboys placed Oruwariye (foot) on injured reserve Saturday.
Oruwariye was already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles due to a foot injury. With the Cowboys eliminated from playoff contention, Oruwariye's placement on IR means he will also be sidelined for the regular-season finale against the Commanders. It's the second time Oruwariye has been placed on IR this season, as he missed five games earlier in the year due to a back injury. He'll end the 2024 campaign with 29 tackles (23 solo) and three pass defenses (including one interception) across seven regular-season games.

Cowboys' Amani Oruwariye: Ruled out for Sunday
Oruwariye (foot) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Eagles, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Oruwariye downgraded from limited participation Thursday to a DNP at Friday's practice, so it's no surprise he won't suit up for Sunday's divisional matchup. The Cowboys' defense will now be without two of their top three corners, Oruwariye and Trevon Diggs (knee), in Week 17. C.J. Goodwin and Andrew Booth are likely to see increased work with Dallas' first-team secondary in Oruwariye's stead.

Cowboys' Amani Oruwariye: Limited Thursday
Oruwariye (foot) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
The cornerback was not listed on Wednesday's injury report. Oruwariye has played on 64 and 99 percent of Dallas' defensive snaps over the last two games due to Trevon Diggs being out with season-ending knee surgery. If Oruwariye can't play Sunday against the Eagles, Andrew Booth or C.J. Goodwin might be in line to see more snaps.

Cowboys' Amani Oruwariye: Moves to active roster
Oruwariye (back) was activated from injured reserve Monday.
Oruwariye's move to the active roster should see him suiting up Monday against the Bengals. The veteran corner will likely serve in a reserve role if he's indeed active, but he could see more work if Trevon Diggs (knee) is out.

Cowboys' Amani Oruwariye: Returns to practice
Oruwariye (back) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Oruwariye has been on IR for the Cowboys' last five games since suffering a back injury against the 49ers in Week 8. The Penn State product will now have a 21-day window to practice with the team before he needs to be placed on the active roster, but if healthy enough, he could return Monday against the Bengals.

Cowboys' Amani Oruwariye: Moves to IR
Oruwariye (back) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
Oruwariye suffered the injury in Sunday's loss to the 49ers and was unable to return to the game. He'll now be sidelined for at least the Cowboys' next four games while he tends to the injury. With DaRon Bland (foot) expected to return this week, Oruwariye's absence may be felt less, but it'll still be a blow to Dallas' secondary depth.

Cowboys' Amani Oruwariye: Questionable to return
Oruwariye (back) is questionable to return to Sunday night's game against the 49ers, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
The cornerback made eight tackles (six solo) before exiting. Oruwariye came into the game with 12 tackles (11 solo), three passes defensed and an interception in three previous games on 153 defensive prior defensive snaps this season. Dallas is down to three available corners in Trevon Diggs, Jourdan Lewis and C.J. Goodwin.
