Steelers' Jabrill Peppers: Strikes deal with Pittsburgh
Peppers and the Steelers agreed to a contract Tuesday, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network report.
After he was surprisingly released by the Patriots at the conclusion of the preseason, Peppers remained unsigned for Week 1 but has now found a new home in Pittsburgh. Assuming he can get caught up with the Steelers' defensive playbook quickly, Peppers could be in line for a prominent role in the secondary in Sunday's game against the Seahawks after Pittsburgh lost starting safety DeShon Elliott (knee) to an injury in the season-opening win over the Jets. With New England last season, Peppers tallied 40 tackles, one interception and one forced fumble in six appearances.

Jabrill Peppers: Let go by New England
The Patriots released Peppers on Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Peppers originally made the Patriots' 53-man roster and was expected to be a part of the team's safety rotation alongside Jaylinn Hawkins and rookie fourth-rounder Craig Woodson. However, the Patriots have elected to move on from the veteran safety, who should draw plenty of interest from teams looking to bolster depth in the secondary. Peppers played in 38 regular-season games (26 starts) for the Patriots over the past three years, posting 178 tackles (107 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and three interceptions in that span.

Patriots' Jabrill Peppers: Getting in reps at OTAs
Peppers (hamstring) is participating during OTAs, Eric J. Adler of the Patriots' official site reports.
Peppers ended last season on New England's injured reserve list with a hamstring issue, but he seems to be back in good shape with offseason workouts now underway. The Patriots did add competition for snaps during the draft in the form of fourth-rounder Craig Woodson, but Peppers will likely start at safety next to Kyle Dugger (ankle) in 2025.
