Browns' Shelby Harris: Back from injury
Harris (elbow) is fully healthy after ending the 2024 season on injured reserve, Chris Easterling of Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Harris suffered an elbow injury in Week 15 of the 2024 season. Prior to missing the final two games of the season, the 33-year-old accounted for 37 tackles (18 solo), including 1.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. Rookie No. 5 overall pick Mason Graham is projected to start at one defensive tackle spot alongside veteran Maliek Collins, but Shelby figures to serve in a rotational role, at minimum.

Browns' Shelby Harris: Done for 2024
The Browns placed Harris (elbow) on injured reserve Thursday.
Harris suffered an elbow injury during the Browns' loss to the Chiefs in Week 15, which prevented him from playing against the Bengals in Week 16. The injury is severe enough for 2014 seventh-round pick to be placed on IR and miss the final two games of the regular season. Harris will finish the 2024 campaign with 37 tackles (18 solo), including 1.5 sacks, two pass defenses and one forced fumble across 14 regular-season games. Jowon Briggs is set to serve as the top backup defensive tackle behind starters Dalvin Tomlinson and Mike Hall for the last two games of the regular season due to Harris' injury.

Browns' Shelby Harris: Out vs. Bengals
Harris (elbow) is out for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Harris will miss his first full game of the year after leaving last weekend's matchup against the Chiefs with an elbow injury. The veteran defensive tackle's absence should open up more playing time for Jowon Briggs and Mike Hall as it did in Week 15. Harris' next shot to see the field will be Week 17 versus Miami.

Browns' Shelby Harris: Still tending to elbow injury
Harris (elbow) did not participate at practice Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.
Harris was forced out of Sunday's game versus the Chiefs early by an elbow injury, and now his status for Week 16 is up in the air. He'll likely have to practice in some capacity Thursday or Friday to have any chance to play Sunday at Cincinnati.

Browns' Shelby Harris: Exits with injury Sunday
Harris is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Chiefs due to an elbow injury, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
Harris logged two tackles before exiting Sunday's action. The 33-year-old totaled 35 tackles, including 1.5 sacks, across 13 appearances coming into this game against Kansas City. In Harris' absence, Jowon Briggs and Mike Hall will be the next men up at defensive tackle.

Browns' Shelby Harris: Logs first sack of season
Harris logged two tackles (one solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 21-14 loss to Cincinnati.
It took seven regular-season games, but Harris finally got his first sack of the year Sunday, as he took down Joe Burrow for a five-yard loss late in the first quarter that caused the Bengals to turn the ball over on downs. Harris' 28 defensive snaps were his lowest since Week 2 against the Jaguars, and he could see sub-30 snaps on defense moving forward after rookie second-rounder Michael Hall returned from a five-game suspension in Week 6.

Browns' Shelby Harris: Returns to practice
Harris (undisclosed) participated in practice Monday, Brad Stainbrook of 247Sports.com reports.
Harris missed nearly two weeks of practice due to an unspecified injury, but he appears to be over the ailment. The 2014 seventh-round pick played in all 17 regular-season games in 2023, finishing with 28 tackles (17 solo), including 1.5 sacks, five passes defended and one forced fumble. Harris signed a two-year, $9 million contract extension with the Browns in March and will be part of the Browns' starting defensive front alongside Myles Garrett, Dalvin Tomlinson (knee) and Za'Darius Smith (knee).

Browns' Shelby Harris: Sidelined by injury
Harris (undisclosed) did not practice Thursday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Harris missed Wednesday's session as well, presumably due to the same undisclosed injury. The veteran figures to play a prominent role in the interior of Cleveland's defensive line in 2024, so the Browns could simply be exercising caution with the 32-year-old.
