Vadal Alexander: Tries out Monday
Alexander was brought in for a workout with the Giants on Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Alexander was waived by the Raiders ahead of the 2018 campaign after being suspended for the first four games of that regular season for violations of the league's performance-enhancing substance policy. The 28-year-old played 24 games over his first two NFL seasons, but he has not seen action since the 2017 campaign.

Vadal Alexander: Waived by Raiders
The Raiders waived Alexander on Tuesday with a non-football injury designation.
Alexander was suspended by the league for the first four games of 2018 after using a banned performance-enhancing substance, and he mysteriously didn't report when the Raiders broke camp last Friday. He could wind up elsewhere if another team elects to take a chance on the 24-year-old guard, though he would remain sidelined for the first four weeks due to the suspension.

Alexander was placed on the Reserve/Did Not Report list Friday, Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Alexander is suspended for the first four games of the season due to a violation of the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances, but that doesn't explain his current absence -- he's still allowed to participate in training camp and the preseason despite his suspension. It's unclear how long he'll be away from camp, but his absence opens the door for Brandon Parker or Breno Giacomini to get some extra reps.

Raiders' Vadal Alexander: Faces four-game ban
Alexander was suspended for the first four games of the 2018 season for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances, Matt Schneidman of The Mercury News reports.
Alexander missed four games in 2017 with ankle issues and a concussion, and he's set to miss at least the same amount for disciplinary reasons in 2018. Regardless, Oakland drafted Kolton Miller in the first round, and he's expected to take over as the right tackle.

Alexander (concussion) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Though he failed to practice this week, the Raiders listed Alexander as doubtful in the event he received clearance from an independent neurologist leading up to the contest. That evidently didn't materialize, so Alexander will end his season in street clothes after sustaining the head injury in the Week 16 loss to the Eagles.
