The Seahawks DST had an amazing season in 2025, and the unit should once again be solid in 2026. We recommend drafting the Seahawks DST as a No. 1 Fantasy option this season with a late-round pick. Last year, Seattle was among the league leaders in sacks (47) and interceptions (18), and the Seahawks DST scored seven touchdowns to lead the NFL. The defense should once again be tough behind Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy up front, Ernest Jones IV in the middle at linebacker and Nick Emmanwori at safety. Mike Macdonald is also one of the best defensive coaches in the NFL, and the Seahawks DST should again be one of the top Fantasy options in 2026.

Less than two weeks after Seattle sent Eastern to its PUP list with an unspecified injury, he's already back in action.   • Seahawks' Nick Emmanwori: Uncertainty about Week 1 status

    Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald responded "I don't know" Saturday when asked about Emmanwori's (ankle) potential availability for Week 1 of the regular season, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports. An earlier report by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com indicated that Emmanwori would likely be ready to go by the regular-season opener, but there's reason to be at least a little less optimistic about that scenario following Macdonald's comments. Per Bell, Macdonald also confirmed that the surgery Emmanwori underwent recently was tied to the sprained ankle he suffered four days before Super Bowl LX. While the standout defensive back doesn't currently have a definitive timeline to return to the field, Macdonald indicated that Emmanwori isn't dealing with a serious, long-term issue.

    Emmanwori is expected to be ready for Week 1 after undergoing surgery on his right ankle ahead of training camp, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. It's anticipated that Emmanwori will miss some time during camp as he recovers from the procedure, but at this point, it seems like it won't keep him out of any regular-season game action. Emmanwori was on the field for spring and summer offseason workouts, but he now appears to be dealing with an injury in advance of training camp. Hall only came away with 2.0 sacks in the third season of his rookie contract as he rotated in on the edge behind veteran DeMarcus Lawrence, Uchenna Nwosu and Boye Mafe. However, following a 2.0-sack performance in Super Bowl 60, Hall is now getting a second contract with the Seahawks.
