Prescott completed 25 of 34 passes for 261 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Panthers. He also rushed twice for minus-1 yard and fumbled once but recovered.
Prescott continued his excellent season, throwing for three or more touchdowns in his third straight game while also surpassing 250 passing yards for the fourth time in six contests on the campaign. He showed an ongoing strong connection with George Pickens, connecting with him for three gains of more than 30 yards, including scores from 45 and 34 yards away. Prescott's outlook could improve further in Week 7 due to the potential return of CeeDee Lamb (ankle), though Prescott has proven plenty capable of producing without one of his star pass catchers.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Prescott is on fire coming into Week 6 at Carolina with at least 26.1 Fantasy points in three of his past four games, including two in a row with at least 36.3 points. The Panthers have allowed Drake Maye and Tua Tagovailoa to each score at least 27 Fantasy points in the past two games, and Prescott should follow suit. Even though CeeDee Lamb (ankle) remains out for the Cowboys, Prescott has been a Fantasy star, which should continue in this road matchup.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Four more TDs in win over Jets
Rotowire
Prescott completed 18 of 29 passes for 237 yards and four touchdowns in Sunday's 37-22 win over the Jets. He added 28 rushing yards on seven carries.
For the second straight game, Prescott chucked multiple TDs without having CeeDee Lamb (ankle) on the field, this time hitting Jake Ferguson twice and George Pickens and Javonte Williams once each. Prescott has a 7:0 TD:INT over the last two contests, and Sunday's performance may have been even more impressive considering four of the Cowboys' five starting offensive linemen were sidelined. The veteran QB figures to keep rolling in Week 6 against a Panthers defense that just gave up three passing TDs to Tua Tagovailoa.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Sleeper QBs
Rotowire
Prescott was impressive in Week 4 against Green Bay with 36.9 Fantasy points, and he did that without CeeDee Lamb (ankle), who is out for Week 5 as well. The Jets aren't an easy matchup since Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield and Tua Tagovailoa have been held to 19.7 Fantasy points or less in three games in a row. But Prescott is averaging 44 pass attempts a game in his past three outings, and he should continue to challenge this defense with George Pickens and Jake Ferguson. I like Prescott as a No. 1 quarterback in all leagues.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Breaks out with four TDs on SNF
Rotowire
Prescott completed 31 of 40 pass attempts for 319 yards and three touchdowns while taking his only carry for a two-yard touchdown in Sunday's 40-40 tie against the Packers.
Prescott broke out of his early-season slump in a big way, matching his passing touchdown total through his previous three games in one fell swoop. The 31-year-old even added a rare rushing touchdown on a designed run from in close for his fourth score of the contest. The loss of star receiver CeeDee Lamb (ankle) certainly hurts Prescott's stock for as long as his top option remains out. That said, Prescott also proved that he is nowhere near washed up with Sunday's monster fantasy output. Managers with restored faith in Dallas' signal-caller will be rolling him out against the Jets in Week 5.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: QBs to Sit
Rotowire
This is the wrong week to trust Prescott against the Packers with Micah Parsons returning to Dallas. Along with that, CeeDee Lamb (ankle), guard Tyler Booker (ankle) and center Cooper Beebe (ankle) are out, and this could get ugly in a hurry. Prescott only scored 14 Fantasy points against the Bears in Week 3, and he's been under 15 Fantasy points in two of three games this season. I'm not even sure you want to start Prescott in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues against Green Bay, which is No. 3 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks this year.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Misses Lamb in Week 3 loss
Rotowire
Prescott completed 31 of 40 passes for 251 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's 31-14 loss to the Bears.
The Cowboys got off to a disjointed start on offense, as Javonte Williams fumbled on the opening possession, with CeeDee Lamb (ankle) departing for the game one drive later. Prescott kept Dallas competitive for a while, guiding the team to a pair of field goals before connecting with George Pickens from two yards away for a touchdown. Prescott faded in the second half without his top pass catcher, averaging only 6.5 yards per attempt while throwing two picks. His fantasy outlook in Week 4 will depend significantly on Lamb's status, but a matchup against the Packers will be tough regardless.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: QBs to Start

I thought Prescott would have a solid Fantasy outing in Week 2 against the Giants, and he finished with 26.1 points, although he needed overtime. That said, he should stay hot in Week 3 at the Bears, who just allowed Jared Goff to score 43.9 Fantasy points last week. Prescott has top-five upside in this matchup, and the projected total for this game is 50.5 points, which also bodes well for Caleb Williams.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Top DFS Play

Dak was my favorite value last week and he remains so this week. Partially because he faces the Bears defense I have written so much about above. This game has one of the highest over/unders on the Week 1 slate and Prescott's Cowboys actually opened as underdogs. He has a chance for an absolutely massive game and on FanDuel he's still priced below a handful of QBs I would start him straight up over.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Big numbers against Big Blue
Rotowire
Prescott completed 38 of 52 passes for 361 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 40-37 overtime win over the Giants. He added 17 rushing yards on three carries.
It was Prescott's highest yardage total since Week 3 of last season, when he fired up 379 yards in a loss to the Ravens. The veteran QB rebounded in a big way from a quiet Week 1 effort, but the Cowboys' defensive issues may require him to continue putting the ball in the air a lot more often than expected. Prescott could be poised for another big performance in Week 3 against a Bears defense that just got torched for five passing TDs by Jared Goff and the Lions.

The Fantasy production wasn't there for Prescott in Week 1 when he only scored 7.8 points at the Eagles, but I thought he played well. He completed 21-of-34 passes for 188 yards, no touchdowns or interceptions and one carry for 3 yards, but the Philadelphia defense is a tough opponent. We'll see how the Giants fare on the road, and Jayden Daniels just scored 22.1 Fantasy points against New York in Week 1. Prescott has combined for 625 yards, six touchdowns and one interception in his past two meetings with the Giants, and I expect him to do well in his home opener in Week 2. Prescott should be considered a low-end No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues.

On FanDuel, Prescott is cheaper than Jared Goff, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes. I prefer Prescott to all of them. Despite the drops last week, CeeDee Lamb is still one of the two or three best wide receivers in football, and the Giants defense is nothing to fear. Getting Prescott at a discount after a disappointing Week 1 against a much better defense is an excellent way to start your Week 2 build.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Quiet in Week 1 loss
Rotowire
Prescott completed 21 of 34 passes for 188 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions while adding one rush for three yards in the Cowboys' 34-20 loss to the Eagles on Thursday night.
Prescott spearheaded the upset-minded Cowboys through a productive first two quarters that had Dallas up by a 14-7 margin at one point. The initial two drives culminated in Javonte Williams rushing touchdowns, and Prescott played mistake-free football while frequently focusing on top target CeeDee Lamb. However, Prescott and new addition George Pickens had some trouble connecting in their first game together -- albeit because of defensive pass interference in one instance -- and Lamb then failed to find the handle on a couple of the quarterback's throws in the fourth quarter, including on a perfectly thrown fourth-down lob down the left side of the field that Lamb dove for but couldn't secure. Prescott and Pickens will have some extra time to build chemistry ahead of the Cowboys' Week 2 game, which will be their home opener against the Giants on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: To sit out preseason finale
Rotowire
Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said Monday that Prescott will not suit up for Friday's preseason finale against the Falcons, and that Joe Milton will get the start at quarterback, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Prescott won't suit up for any exhibition action this preseason, with Dallas instead opting to prioritize the veteran signal-caller's health after he was limited to just eight regular-season appearances in 2024 due to a torn hamstring. The 32-year-old was unproductive from a fantasy standpoint when healthy last season, but he enters the 2025 campaign as an interesting bounceback candidate, largely due to the addition of a true downfield playmaker in George Pickens to take the pressure off No. 1 wideout CeeDee Lamb. Lamb and Pickens will be joined in three-wide sets by Jalen Tolbert, who took a step forward with a 49-610-7 receiving line while suiting up for all 17 regular-season games in 2024, plus a capable red zone threat in TE Jake Ferguson.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Won't play Saturday
Rotowire
Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said Thursday that Prescott will not start Saturday's preseason matchup against the Ravens, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The 32-year-old signal-caller also sat out Dallas' preseason opener against the Rams last weekend, meaning Prescott's final opportunity to suit up for exhibition reps will be Friday, Aug. 22 against the Falcons. In his stead, No. 2 quarterback Joe Milton (elbow), and third-stringer Will Grier figure to again split reps. Prescott has spent training camp picking up an expanded scheme, much of which carries over from Schottenheimer's tenure as offensive coordinator last season, plus building chemistry with new No. 2 receiver George Pickens.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Staying on sideline Saturday
Rotowire
Prescott will not suit up for Saturday's preseason opener against the Rams, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Prescott is sitting out Saturday, as expected, and will be joined on the sidelines by wideouts CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, plus running back Javonte Williams. With Dak not starting Saturday, Dallas will receive a chance to evaluate Joe Milton and Will Grier in preseason action.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Not planning to play Saturday
Rotowire
Prescott said Thursday he doesn't expect to suit up for Saturday's preseason opener against the Rams, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Prescott has had his workload managed throughout training camp, but he's fully recovered from the torn hamstring that required season-ending surgery and limited him to just eight games in 2024. The 32-year-old signal-caller could be in more serious consideration to handle some preseason reps on Saturday, Aug. 16 versus the Ravens or Friday, Aug. 22 against the Falcons. Joe Milton retook the field Thursday after having exited Tuesday's joint practice early due to a thumb issue, and he figures to start against Los Angeles on Saturday with Prescott in line to sit.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Declares himself fully healthy
Rotowire
Prescott (hamstring) said Tuesday that he is fully healthy and will be a full participant at the start of training camp, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Prescott will have a checkup with team doctors ahead of training camp, but he says he's as healthy as can be heading into his 10th NFL season. The veteran quarterback was an on-field participant at OTAs earlier in the spring but hadn't yet been cleared for contact, so it's no surprise to see him nearing 100 percent with training camp opening up later this month. Prescott underwent surgery to repair a partial avulsion of his right hamstring back in November. He's currently coming off the board as a fringe QB1 in early fantasy drafts.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Recovery proceeding well
Rotowire
Prescott (hamstring) said Wednesday his "health is good," and noted that he's "really looking to amp it up here recently" in terms of his rehab process, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Prescott added that he is now "12 weeks or so" removed from his season-ending surgical procedure, which he underwent in November to address a torn right hamstring. The 31-year-old quarterback indicated that his rehab program is moving in a positive direction, and his expected recovery timeframe leaves open the possibility that Prescott could be fully cleared for the beginning of OTAs. Prescott also expressed excitement about new head coach Brian Schottenheimer's offensive approach, singling out a commitment to the running game and increased play-action as improvements being brought to the Dallas offense. His numbers were underwhelming across his eight appearances in 2024 with 1,978 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions, so Prescott's fantasy outlook for the 2025 campaign will depend both on his returning to full health and Schottenheimer's ability to innovate on offense.

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Season-ending surgery confirmed
Rotowire
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that Prescott will undergo season-ending surgery in New York on Wednesday to address a partial avulsion of his right hamstring, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
After seeking one final medical opinion on his hamstring Monday, Prescott has elected to proceed with surgery rather than treating the injury through rest and rehab. According to Jones, Prescott's long-term prognosis is "wonderful," and while the quarterback will miss the remainder of the season, he should be ready to go for training camp, if he isn't fully cleared for OTAs. Cooper Rush started under center in Sunday's loss to the Eagles and will again direct the offense in Week 11 against the Texans, though it wouldn't be surprising if the Cowboys also gave an extended look to Trey Lance at some point. Prescott will conclude his ninth NFL campaign with a 64.7 percent completion rate on 286 pass attempts for 1,978 yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions to go with 54 yards and a touchdown on 13 rushing attempts over his eight appearances.
