Packers vs. Falcons live updates: Michael Penix returns for Atlanta on 'Thursday Night Football'

Packers: Cut down on turnovers (14 in first two games, contain Bijan Robinson and force Penix into obvious passing third down situations, and put Jordan Love in manageable third down situations. 

Falcons: Get Robinson involved no matter what (screens, other short passes, etc.), give Penix opportunities to make plays on the outside with his feet, hold GB to field goals (Falcons have NFL's best red zone defense). 

Jager Burton, a fifth-round pick, will start at left guard with Aaron Banks out with a toe injury. Green Bay will also be without starting OT Zach Bako-Bewele, who suffered a season-ending injury against the Jets. Anthony Belton, a 2025 second-round pick, will start in his place. 

Green Bay's defense hasn't been the same since they lost Micah Parsons late in the 2025 season. The Packers' defense has been good against the run this season; they're eighth in the NFL in rushing yards allowed (174) and second in average yards-per-carry allowed (2.9). 

Tonight, the Packers will face the league's best RB in Bijan Robinson, who has 48 touches for 254 yards through two games. Atlanta's quarterback issues played a key role in Robinson's so-so rushing totals so far. He had 72 yards on 16 carries against the Panthers this past Sunday and 83 yards on 21 carries against the Steelers in Week 1. 

It can't get any better weather than the weather tonight in Titletown. 

It'll be 61 degrees at kickoff and will be around 59 when the game will end. Virtually no wind and no precipitation. 

For the Packers, DT Javon Hagrave has passed concussion protocol and will play tonight. Josh Jacobs remains inactive as he is on the comissioner's exempt list. With Jacobs out, the Packers' rushing attack is averaging just 3.3 yards-per-carry through two games. 

Billy Bowman Jr. is active for tonight's game and will play for the first time since suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in practice during Week 12 of the 2025 season. 

Penix Penix Jr. will play tonight for the first time since his season-ending knee injury in Week 11 of last season.
