DL Jonathan Fanene, who was signed from the Bengals, said former teammate WR Chad Ochocinco put him on notice about playing for the Patriots. "I talked to him a little bit last week," Fanene said. "He’s just trying to put me on the game, let me know what’s going on out here. This is not Cincinnati. This is not a rookie-league team. This is real business now. I’m trying to get my two feet in and work.”
