Fifth-round choice DB DeQuan Menzie is viewed not simply as a cornerback by the Chiefs, but a guy who can play the corner, safety or the difficult slot coverage position. At Alabama, he played what the Tide call the “Star” position, going man to man on the slot receiver. It’s a position that Menzie inherited two years ago from former Alabama, now Chiefs DB Javier Arenas.
