According to 620 WDAE in Tampa, the Buccaneers sat Doug Martin out from Sunday's game against the Rams in order to allow him to get healthy for Week 3's Thursday night game against the Falcons.
Martin missed most of the second half of the team's opener, and was deactivated shortly before kickoff in Week 2, but appears to be aiming to return Thursday. He is dealing with a knee injury.
