Buccaneers running back Doug Martin stepped out of Sunday's season opener against Carolina with a knee injury, according to Jennifer Hale of FOX Sports. Martin was limited to only nine carries for 9 yards before leaving the game. He also had one grab for a gain of 7 yards. He was seen on the bench fighting to get back in the game, and returned in the fourth quarter.
