With the status of DeMarco Murray (hand) up in the air, Cowboys backup running backs Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar are preparing for a larger workload for Week 16, if necessary, according to the Star-Telegram. Both backs have totaled 328 yards on 60 carries on the ground this season.

"We're approaching it the same way," Dunbar said. "We haven't gotten into all that yet. Tomorrow is the first day we get to practice and stuff. I'm pretty sure it's going to be the same way. You always have to be ready just in case your number is called. If my number is called, I'll be ready if he's not able to go."

"We don't know what the opportunity is yet because he hasn't been ruled out but I'm ready for whatever," Randle said. "I'm itching big time. I feel like I can get job done definitely if they ask me to do that. I don't want to let the team down. This is a huge game for our season. I'm going to be fully ready to go."

It remains to be seen which running back would get the start if Murray can't play.

Dallas is a 3-point favorite at home against Indianapolis on Sunday.
