Aaron Hernandez pleads not guilty in witness intimidation case

Former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez pleaded not guilty to witness intimidation in a Boston courtroom on Thursday, according to the Associated Press. Hernandez is being charged with trying to silence a witness in a double murder case by shooting the man in the face.

Hernandez shot Alexander Bradley in 2013 in Florida after Bradley made a remark a day earlier about a 2012 double slaying in Boston, Suffolk County (Mass.) assistant district attorney Patrick Haggan said. Hernandez is accused of fatally shooting two men in a car in Boston because of a spilled drink in a bar.

Bradley lost an eye in the shooting and is suing Hernandez in Florida over the incident. Hernandez was convicted in April in the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.
