Spurs' Julian Champagnie: Re-signing with San Antonio
Champagnie agreed to a three-year, $45 million contract with the Spurs on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Champagnie is set to remain with the Spurs after spending the past three-plus seasons with the club. The 25-year-old forward is fresh off a career-best year in 2025-26, averaging 11.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.8 steals across 27.6 minutes per game in 82 regular-season games (68 starts). He figures to continue playing a significant role for the team for the foreseeable future.

Champagnie ended Saturday's 94-90 loss to the Knicks in Game 5 of the NBA Finals with 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-8 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal over 31 minutes.

Champagnie recorded 20 points (6-11 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal over 37 minutes during the Spurs' 111-103 win over the Thunder in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals on Saturday.
Champagnie entered Saturday's game having shot 6-for-14 from three-point range over the last two games of the series. He brought the hot hand to Game 7 to lead both teams in three-point makes, finishing as the Spurs' second-leading scorer behind Victor Wembanyama (22 points). The 22 points were a series high for Champagnie. In fact, he hadn't scored more than 11 in the prior four games. The four made three-pointers and three steals were also series highs, and through five contests against OKC, he's averaging 10.6 points, 6.2 boards, 2.0 threes, 1.6 assists and 2.0 combined steals and blocks in 34.8 minutes. Champagnie will look to stay locked in for Game 6 on Thursday.

After scoring in single digits in three consecutive contests, Champagnie posted an efficient 18 points in Friday's series-ending victory. He knocked down at least four triples for the first time since Game 2 of the second-round series and for the third time this postseason. The 24-year-old forward also chipped in two steals for a fifth straight game and will aim to extend that streak against the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.
