Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Struggles in return
Williamson ended Wednesday's 122-88 loss to Denver with 11 points (4-8 FG, 3-4 FT), two assists, one block and one steal across 26 minutes.
Williamson played through a foot issue, returning to action after missing the previous game. While it was good to see him back on the floor, it was certainly not his best performance. Whether the injury played a part in his lack of production is anyone's guess. What is clear is how bad New Orleans has been to begin the season. The hope is that Williamson can get things back on track, both personally and as a team, when the squad travels to Los Angeles to face the Clippers on Friday.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Ruled out Monday
Williamson (foot) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Celtics.
Williamson is dealing with a left foot bone contusion and will miss his first game this season. With the 25-year-old forward sidelined, Saddiq Bey, Karlo Matkovic and Derik Queen are candidates for increased minutes. Williamson's next opportunity to play will come Wednesday against Denver.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Questionable for Monday
Williamson (foot) is questionable for Monday's game against Boston, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
Williamson is a fresh addition to the injury report with a left foot bone contusion. Given how cautious the team has been with Williamson in the past, there's a good chance he's held out Monday. Through the opening two games, Williamson has averaged 27.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 4.0 steals in 35.2 minutes per contest.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Shines with 27 points
Williamson amassed 27 points (8-18 FG, 11-16 FT), 10 rebounds, seven assists and three steals over 37 minutes during Friday's 120-116 overtime loss to the Spurs.
Williamson equaled his strong scoring total from the Pelicans' first game, while upping his rebounds and assists. Some of his misses can be attributed to blocks from Victor Wembanyama, but Williamson would not be denied, finishing with authority and generating 16 free throw attempts. Through two games, he also has eight steals, which leads the NBA. New Orleans has a weekend break before hosting Boston Monday night.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Strong start to campaign
Williamson finished with 27 points (10-21 FG, 7-12 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and five steals in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 128-122 loss to the Grizzlies.
Williamson, who looks rejuvenated after spending the offseason getting into top shape, was the clear No. 1 option on offense Wednesday with plenty of ball-handling responsibilities as well. He was flying around the court defensively too, finishing one steal shy of his career-high mark of six. If he can stay healthy, and that's a big if, Williamson could have a monster fantasy campaign, especially in punt builds for free throws or three-pointers.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Effective in limited minutes
Williamson recorded 13 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 FT), four assists, three rebounds and four steals across 23 minutes of Tuesday's 130-128 preseason loss to the Rockets.
Entering camp, Williamson looked to be in top shape, and he said he was feeling really good. If the preseason has been any indication, Williamson is poised for a major bounce-back campaign. As always, his health will be the ultimate deciding factor as to how his fantasy appeal will hold up.

Williamson, who was shut down on March 19 of last season due to a back bone bruise, started the preseason opener and looked sharp in his short stint on the court. Williamson said during Media Day that he was feeling good, and he's drawing rave reviews from his teammates for his conditioning and leadership. His fantasy arrow is certainly pointing up so far.

Pelicans' Zion Williamson: Says he's feeling good
Williamson (back) said he's feeling really good heading into the 2025-26 season, Erin Summers of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network reports
Williamson, who was shut down on March 19 of last season due to a back bone bruise, is presumably healthy heading into training camp. Trey Murphy noted at Media Day on Tuesday that Williamson is noticeably slimmer, and the front office really talked him up. The talent is undeniable, but his durability will be the key to his having a successful fantasy campaign.
