Nets' Egor Demin: Scores 20 points in SL win
Demin finished Friday's 91-65 Summer League win over the Knicks with 20 points (7-15 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block across 22 minutes.
Demin shot 0-for-4 from downtown in the first quarter but bounced back in the second, during which he posted 10 points while connecting on two of his four three-point tries. The 20-year-old guard finished the contest tied for the team lead in scoring, and he also matched the team-high mark in triples made. He's reached the 20-point mark in all three of his appearances this summer.

Nets' Egor Demin: Nets 23 points with full line
Demin recorded 23 points (7-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and two steals over 26 minutes during Monday's 100-79 California Classic Summer League win over the Warriors Blue.
Demin led Brooklyn in both points and rebounds while also doing an excellent job facilitating the offense. The second-year guard should open the season as a starter in Brooklyn, and it'll be interesting to see how he fares fighting for touches with Michael Porter, Julius Randle and rookie No. 6 overall pick Mikel Brown.

Nets' Egor Demin: Inactive versus Milwaukee
Demin (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Sunday's California Classic Summer League game against Milwaukee, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.
Demin underwent a foot procedure in March, though he was on the floor for Saturday's 79-76 Summer League loss to Sacramento. While he shot a rough 2-for-8 from downtown, he still led the Nets in scoring, finishing with 23 points across 24 minutes. Brooklyn's next Summer League game is Monday against Warriors Blue.

Nets' Egor Demin: Leads Nets in scoring Saturday
Demin (foot) finished with 23 points (8-15 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds and one assist across 24 minutes in Saturday's 79-76 California Classic Summer League loss to Sacramento.
Demin shot a rough 2-for-8 from deep in the narrow loss to the Kings. However, despite the shooting woes, the 20-year-old managed to log 24 minutes, which was an encouraging sign after he underwent foot surgery in March 2026. Demin had a relatively productive inaugural campaign, averaging 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.8 steals over 25.2 minutes in 52 regular-season appearances. With Julius Randle, Michael Porter and 2026 No. 6 overall pick Mikel Brown on the roster, Demin may not get routine scoring opportunities in 2026-27, though he should be more productive than he was as a rookie, assuming he stays healthy.

Nets' Egor Demin: Lined up for new backcourt partner?
Demin (foot) could have more competition for playmaking opportunities at point guard after the Nets took Mikel Brown with the No. 6 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Although Brooklyn employs a crowded backcourt, its long-term vision likely involves Demin and Brown coalescing in the guard spots. Demin dealt with plantar fasciitis in his left foot during his rookie season, limiting him to 52 regular-season appearances, but he's still lined up as the Nets' top point guard in 2026-27. Whether or not Brown or perhaps Drake Powell is starting alongside Demin remains to be seen, though.

Nets' Egor Demin: Undergoes foot procedure
Demin underwent a non-surgical procedure to address plantar fasciitis in his left foot, and there's hope he will make a full recovery in time for NBA Summer League, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports
Demin was shut down for the season earlier in March due to a lingering battle with plantar fasciitis. The rookie guard underwent a procedure to address the issue, and it looks like he'll be ready in more than enough time for the start of the 2026-27 campaign. Demin averaged 10.3 points, 3.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds across 25.2 minutes per game in 2025-26.

Nets' Egor Demin: Won't play again this season
The Nets announced Monday that Demin (foot) will miss the rest of the season, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports.
Brooklyn has been managing Demin's workload since the preseason, as the guard has been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot all year, and the team is proceeding with an abundance of caution to get the issue fully resolved. Demin will end his rookie campaign with averages of 10.3 points, 3.3 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.4 three-pointers in 25.2 minutes per contest through 52 regular-season games. With the rookie first-rounder's season finished, the Nets should turn to Nolan Traore and Ben Saraf to handle the bulk of the ball-handling duties to close out the season.

Demin (foot) won't play Monday versus Memphis.

Nets' Egor Demin: Won't play Saturday
Demin (foot) is out for Saturday's game in Detroit.
This will be Demin's fourth consecutive game on the inactive list, and it's not a great sign that he continues to get ruled out a day in advance of tipoff. For now, Demin should be considered doubtful for Monday's matchup with Memphis, which will be the first game of a back-to-back set.

Nets' Egor Demin: Hands out nine assists
Demin amassed six points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, nine assists and one steal over 25 minutes during Thursday's 126-110 loss to San Antonio.
Demin got off to a slow start Thursday, but ended up putting together a pretty solid line. He ranks just inside the top-200 players for nine-category formats over his last five games with 7.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.4 three-pointers.

Nets' Egor Demin: Struggles with shot
Demin closed with three points (1-10 FG, 1-8 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal across 28 minutes during Friday's 105-86 loss to the Thunder.
Demin was ice cold against the reigning champs, finishing with only three points and missing seven of his eight three-point attempts. He averages 2.5 made threes per game, which is second best among rookies behind only Kon Knueppel (3.4). Hopefully he gets back on track in Brooklyn's next game Sunday against the Hawks.

Nets' Egor Demin: Racking up triples
Demin chipped in 13 points (3-8 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 115-110 loss to the Pacers.
Now that Cam Thomas is out of the mix altogether, the Nets could be even more inclined to give Demin an extended look during the final third of the season. It's been a rocky ride so far for the rookie first-rounder, who has shown plenty of upside as a shooter with averages of 13.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 three-pointers in 27.6 minutes per contest in his last eight games.

Demin (rest) will play Wednesday night against the Pacers, Meghan Triplett of YES Network reports.
Demin will return to the lineup after getting a maintenance day Monday against the Bulls. The Nets have another back-to-back set beginning Feb. 19, and based off previous instances, it's likely that another maintenance day is on the table.
