  • Jazz's Mo Bamba: Returning to Utah

Bamba agreed to a two-year contract with the Jazz on Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Bamba spent the first four-plus seasons of his career in Orlando before suiting up for the Lakers, 76ers, Clippers, Pelicans, Jazz and Raptors. The 2018 No. 6 overall pick has appeared in 368 regular-season contests, averaging 6.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 1.3 blocks and 0.4 steals over 16.7 minutes. Bamba isn't the most talented scorer in the NBA, but his defensive acumen gives him value for a Utah squad that's looking to improve in 2026-27.

  • Mo Bamba: Waived Thursday

The Jazz waived Bamba on Thursday, Kevin Reynolds of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Bamba went down with an illness and wasn't able to travel with the team on its upcoming three-game road trip, and Utah cut him. In two games with the Jazz, Bamba accounted for a total of 10 points, 20 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two turnovers across 38 minutes.

  • Jazz's Mo Bamba: Gets another 10-day with Utah

The Jazz signed Bamba to a second 10-day contract Sunday.

Bamba will get another look with the Jazz after his first 10-day contract expired Sunday. He appeared in two games over the course of his first deal, averaging 5.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks over 19.0 minutes per game. Bamba gives the Jazz additional depth at center behind Kyle Filipowski, Kevin Love and Oscar Tshiebwe.

  • Mo Bamba: Back on open market

Bamba became a free agent Sunday after his 10-day contract with the Jazz expired.

After signing his 10-day deal Feb. 26, Bamba appeared in two of the Jazz's ensuing six contests, averaging 5.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 19.0 minutes per game. Utah will have the ability to bring Bamba back on another 10-day pact or rest-of-season deal, though the Jazz could be content to proceed with Kyle Filipowski, Oscar Tshiebwe and Kevin Love as their options at center and instead reserve the open roster spot for a player at a different position.

  • Jazz's Mo Bamba: Sees 21 minutes

Bamba ended with four points (2-3 FG), eight rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 21 minutes during Wednesday's 106-102 loss to Philadelphia.

This was Bamba's first taste of action since he signed a 10-day contract Feb. 26. He made a strong impression, and with his shot-blocking upside, he's worth monitoring in case he sticks around.

  • Jazz's Mo Bamba: Signs with Utah

Bamba signed a 10-day contract with the Jazz on Thursday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Bamba has been a standout at the G League level and is being added to provide some depth in Utah. The Jazz have several injuries up front, so there is a path to minutes for Bamba. The big man averaged 17.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks at the G League level.

  • Mo Bamba: Cut by Toronto

The Raptors waived Bamba on Tuesday, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Bamba signed with the Raptors on Dec. 29 to a one-year contract, but the deal was set to become fully guaranteed if he had remained on the roster through Wednesday. Rather than keeping Bamba around at a prorated $1.86 million salary, the Raptors will instead part ways with the veteran center. With Jakob Poeltl (back) still facing an uncertain timeline to return to action, the Raptors could still elect to bring Bamba back on a 10-day deal in order to bolster their depth in the frontcourt. Bamba played just six total minutes over two appearances in four games after signing his first deal with Toronto.

  • Raptors' Mo Bamba: Strikes deal with Toronto

Bamba agreed to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with the Raptors on Sunday, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Bamba will likely provide Toronto with some added depth at center while Jakob Poeltl battles a back injury. Sandro Mamukelashvili should continue to start at center in Poeltl's absence, though Bamba could end up emerging as Mamukelashvili's top backup in the short term. The 27-year-old Bamba had gotten off to a strong start to the season in the G League with the Salt Lake City Stars, averaging 16.5 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in 29.3 minutes per contest over 15 appearances.

  • Jazz's Mo Bamba: Lands deal with Utah

Bamba and the Jazz agreed to a contract Thursday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

The terms of the deal have yet to be reported, but this may be a training camp deal. Bamba has bounced around the league quite a bit with stints in Orlando, both teams in Los Angeles, Philadelphia and New Orleans. He holds career regular-season averages of 6.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks.

  • Mo Bamba: Reaches free agency

Bamba became a free agent after his 10-day contract with the Pelicans expired Thursday.

Bamba appeared in four of the Pelicans' five games during his 10-day deal, averaging 2.5 points and 6.3 rebounds in 15.3 minutes. New Orleans had the option of re-signing him to a second 10-day deal prior to Friday's 134-93 loss to the Timberwolves, but the organization seemingly intends to take a different approach with the open roster spot.

  • Pelicans' Mo Bamba: Scores two points

Bamba contributed two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, one assist and one block across 26 minutes during Thursday's 113-93 loss to Orlando.

Bamba, who is on a 10-day deal with the Pelicans, now has two games under his belt with his new deal. His production has left a lot to be desired, however. He's shot just 20 percent from the field while averaging 1.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 20.5 minutes per contest.

  • Pelicans' Mo Bamba: Joins New Orleans

Bamba and the Pelicans agreed to a 10-day contract Monday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.

After a brief stint with the Clippers to begin the 2024-25 season, Bamba has since been feasting in the G League for the Birmingham Squadron, posting averages of 21.0 points, 14.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.8 blocks. The Pelicans don't have much to play for at this point in the season, so it would make sense for them to give Bamba an opportunity to impress in the frontcourt.

  • Mo Bamba: Let go by Utah

The Jazz waived Bamba on Sunday, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

One day after acquiring Bamba from the Clippers, the Jazz will part ways with the big man to open up a roster spot for guard Jalen Hood-Schifino, whom the club acquired from the Lakers on Sunday. Bamba will likely be a candidate to join a club lacking frontcourt depth, though he may have to wait for the dust to settle after Thursday's trade deadline before finding a home. In 28 appearances with the Clippers this season, Bamba averaged 4.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 12.6 minutes per contest.

  • Jazz's Mo Bamba: Shipped to Utah

The Jazz acquired Bamba, P.J. Tucker, a 2030 second-round pick and cash from the Clippers on Saturday in exchange for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

After missing most of the first month of the season while recovering from a knee issue, Bamba debuted Nov. 17 for the Clippers and had regularly been serving as the top backup to starting center Ivica Zubac. However, the 26-year-old recently fell out of favor, appearing in just one of the team's last three games before the Clippers shipped him out and brought back Eubanks, who should settle in as LA's new backup center. Eubanks had been filling a regular spot in Utah's rotation, but Bamba may not be guaranteed regular playing time with the Jazz while both Walker Kessler and Kyle Filipowski are healthy and likely to be prioritized ahead of Bamba, who is on an expiring contract. If Bamba does find himself getting meaningful playing time at any point, he could be an appealing fantasy option; he turned in strong per-minute averages of 4.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 12.6 minutes over his 28 appearances with the Clippers.
