  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Not listed on report for Sunday

Pritchard (foot) isn't listed on the injury report for Sunday's Game 1 against the 76ers. Pritchard was held out of Boston's regular-season finale due to left foot plantar fasciitis, though he's set to return to action Sunday. The 28-year-old guard averaged 17.2 points, 5.3 assists and 2.8 rebounds across 30.3 minutes per tilt off the bench over his final six regular-season appearances.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Sidelined Sunday

Pritchard (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Orlando, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. Pritchard drew the doubtful tag for Sunday's regular-season finale due to left foot plantar fasciitis, and he'll indeed be sidelined as the Celtics prepare for their playoff run. The sixth-year guard started in a career-high 50 regular-season games, but he returned to a bench role in early February after Anfernee Simons (wrist) was traded to the Bulls in exchange for Nikola Vucevic (finger). Pritchard was still effective in his sixth-man role, and across 31 outings (two starts) since Feb. 3, he averaged 17.5 points, 5.0 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 threes over 32.0 minutes per game while connecting on 41.7 percent of his field-goal attempts from beyond the arc. Dalano Banton, Max Shulga and Baylor Scheierman will all handle more responsibilities against Orlando in Pritchard's absence.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Unlikely to play Sunday

Pritchard is listed as doubtful for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Magic due to left foot plantar fasciitis, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports. The Celtics locked their spot as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference after their blowout win against the Pelicans on Friday. With nothing to play for Sunday, Boston will rest its entire starting lineup, and it looks like Pritchard will also not play against Orlando. If that's indeed the case, Pritchard will end the 2025-26 regular season averaging career highs in points (17.0), assists (5.2), rebounds (3.9) and minutes (32.4). Max Shulga, Dalano Banton, Baylor Scheierman, Hugo Gonzalez and other deep rotational players for the Celtics should all see extended action Sunday.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Double-doubles in rout

Pritchard ended Friday's 144-118 victory over the Pelicans with 21 points (7-14 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in 30 minutes. Pritchard posted his fifth double-double of the season Friday, taking advantage of some extra usage left behind by the absence of Jayson Tatum (Achilles). Over his last seven contests, Pritchard has averaged 17.0 points, 4.6 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 3.3 three-pointers in 29.7 minutes per game while shooting 50.0 percent from deep.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Provides spark in loss

Pritchard posted 23 points (10-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt), six assists and three rebounds across 36 minutes in Thursday's 112-106 loss to the Knicks. With Jaylen Brown (Achilles) out, Pritchard was far more aggressive on the offensive end Thursday. The 28-year-old guard led Boston's second unit in points and was the team's second-leading scorer behind Jayson Tatum (24), who struggled with efficiency. Pritchard also finished second on the club in assists and three-pointers made.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Won't start Monday

Pritchard won't start Monday's game against the Hawks, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports. With Derrick White (knee) back in the lineup, Pritchard will retreat to the second unit. The 28-year-old guard has averaged 19.6 points, 3.6 assists and 3.2 rebounds across 31.6 minutes per game over his last five outings off the bench.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Scores 10 points in loss

Pritchard recorded 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt), one rebound, three assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Sunday's 102-92 loss to the Timberwolves. Pritchard continues to play a massive role for the Celtics. Over his last six games, he's averaging 14.2 points, 4.5 assists, 3.2 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 2.5 three-pointers on 38.3 percent shooting from the field across 32.6 minutes per contest.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Drains five triples off bench

Pritchard ended Monday's 120-112 win over the Suns with 19 points (6-13 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists, four rebounds and one steal over 37 minutes. Pritchard once again gave the Celtics a much-needed boost off the bench, finishing as the team's fourth-leading scorer while co-leading in assists with Jaylen Brown and Neemias Queta. Pritchard entered Monday's game having connected on just 18.8 percent of his three-point attempts (on 6.4 3PA/G) over his last five outings, so seeing his success from beyond the arc against Phoenix was a promising sign.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Upgraded to available

Pritchard (neck) is available for Thursday's game against the Thunder. After sitting out Tuesday's loss to the Spurs due to neck spasms, Pritchard is ready to return Thursday. Over his last six games, the sharpshooter has averaged 13.8 points, 5.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 30.4 minutes per contest. Pritchard's return likely means less playing time for Ron Harper off the bench.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Iffy for Tuesday

Pritchard (neck) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Spurs, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports. Pritchard is in jeopardy of missing just his second game of the season and his first since Jan. 17 due to neck spasms. If the 28-year-old guard is unable to suit up, Baylor Scheierman and Hugo Gonzalez would be candidates for increased playing time off the bench, while Ron Harper could enter the rotation.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Efficient performance off bench

Pritchard had 18 points (8-17 FG, 2-8 3Pt), seven rebounds, six assists and two blocks over 34 minutes during Friday's 120-100 win over the Mavericks. Pritchard bounced back from a scoreless outing Wednesday, providing a balanced line and leading the Celtics' second unit in scoring. While his three-point shooting was slightly off, he found success inside the arc and contributed significantly on the glass and as a playmaker. Despite the return of Jayson Tatum (Achilles) to the starting lineup, Pritchard still logged 34 minutes, suggesting his role as the primary spark plug off the bench remains secure even with the team's superstar back in the mix.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Drops donut in heavy loss

Pritchard racked up zero points (0-6 FG, 0-5 3Pt) and two rebounds in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 118-89 loss to the Hornets. Pritchard went scoreless for the second time in the past three games, continuing what has been a weird stretch. It's been night and day over his past six games, as he's scored no more than eight points in four appearances while dropping 22 and 25 points in the other two contests. He remains a clear hold, although managers would love to see him add some consistency to his game.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Big night vs. Milwaukee

Pritchard closed with 25 points (10-23 FG, 5-10 3Pt), four rebounds and nine assists in 34 minutes during Monday's 108-81 victory over the Bucks. Pritchard responded in a big way after being held scoreless in Sunday's win over the Sixers. He was particularly dialed in from beyond the arc, where he tacked on 15 of his 25 points. Pritchard was also effective as a distributor, as he posted his highest assist total since Dec. 20.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Struggles in loss Wednesday

Pritchard racked up three points (1-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists and two steals over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 103-84 loss to Denver. Pritchard shot under 20 percent from the floor for the second straight game, continuing what has been an up-and-down period over the past month. In 13 games during that time, he has averaged 19.0 points, 5.3 assists and 3.0 three-pointers in 32.5 minutes per contest. While his overall numbers have been fine, four of those games have resulted in him scoring no more than eight points.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Dominates off bench again

Pritchard finished Sunday's 111-89 win over the Lakers with 30 points (10-14 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight assists and four rebounds over 38 minutes. Pritchard was held scoreless in the first quarter, but he quickly caught fire with in the second frame with 11 points, including a buzzer-beating three to extend the Celtics' halftime lead to 10 points. He helped Boston close things out with another 11 points in the fourth quarter and finished as the team's second-leading scorer behind Jaylen Brown (32 points). It was the fifth time this season that Pritchard scored at least 30 points in a game, and the sixth-year point guard has connected on six triples in back-to-back outings. He started in each of his first 48 appearances of the 2025-26 regular season before being moved to the bench Feb. 3 following the Celtics' trade of Anfernee Simons (wrist) to the Bulls in exchange for Nikola Vucevic. However, Pritchard hasn't lost a beat in a role familiar to him, as the 2024-25 6MOTY has scored at least 24 points in six of his last seven appearances.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Pours in game-high 26 in win

Pritchard racked up 26 points (10-18 FG, 6-11 3Pt), six rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 33 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 121-110 win over Golden State. The 28-year-old guard led all scorers on the night as he picked up right where he left off prior to the All-Star break. Pritchard has scored at least 24 points in five of his last six games since shifting to the second unit Feb. 3, averaging 22.5 points, 6.2 assists, 3.5 boards, 3.5 threes and 1.0 steals during that span while shooting 52.0 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Paces Boston in win

Pritchard posted 26 points (11-18 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight assists, five rebounds and two steals across 34 minutes in Wednesday's 124-105 win over the Bulls. Pritchard came off the bench for a fifth consecutive contest and bounced back in a major way after scoring just six points on 2-of-9 shooting from the field in Sunday's loss to New York. The 28-year-old guard led all players in scoring, reaching the 20-point threshold for the fourth time in his last five outings. He also led Boston's bench in assists and has dished out at least seven dimes in four of those five games. During that span, he has averaged 21.8 points, 6.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals per contest.

  • Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Another strong bench showing

Pritchard finished Wednesday's 114-93 win over the Rockets with 27 points (9-20 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven assists and three rebounds over 33 minutes. Pritchard came off the Celtics' bench for a second consecutive game despite Jaylen Brown (hamstring/knee) being ruled out for Wednesday's contest. Pritchard was still effective in his bench role, connecting on five three-pointers or more for the ninth time this season while finishing as the Celtics' second-leading scorer behind Derrick White (28 points). Pritchard -- who won the 2024-25 Sixth Man of the Year award -- has scored 53 points over his last two outings, and he gives the Celtics a much-needed ball handler off the bench after Boston shipped Anfernee Simons to Chicago on Tuesday in exchange for Nikola Vucevic.

Pritchard battled through a minor finger injury Monday, but he was able to return following a brief trip to the locker room.
