Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Eligible for big extension
Siakam has been eligible since July 6 to sign a three-year extension worth up to $207 million with Indiana, according to Zion Brown of the Indianapolis Star.
Pacers general manager Chad Buchanan declined to discuss the team's extension plans, saying he prefers to keep contract matters confidential out of respect for players and their agents. Siakam's current contract runs through the 2027-28 season, so there doesn't appear to be immediate pressure for the two sides to reach a new agreement.

Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Bright spot in tough season
Siakam remained one of Indiana's most productive players in 2025-26, providing consistent scoring, rebounding and veteran leadership during a rebuilding campaign.
The four-time All-Star can now look forward to complementing a returning Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) as the Pacers' top frontcourt option and should remain heavily involved offensively. Indiana made no significant offseason additions that would impact Siakam's workload heading into 2026-27, and the fact that Indiana is projected to be competitive is great news for his outlook.

Siakam (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Pistons.
Siakam will miss his fifth consecutive game Sunday, and it'll be Micah Potter, Obi Toppin and Jalen Slawson helping pick up the slack in his absence. Siakam made it through 62 games in his age-31 season, posting averages of 24.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.7 triples and 1.1 steals per contest.

Siakam tweaked his ankle during the 129-108 loss to the Hornets. Now, the real question is if Siakam will appear in any of the Pacers' remaining four contests after Sunday's meeting with the Cavaliers. While the 32-year-old is unavailable, Obi Toppin (foot), who is listed as probable, is the favorite to enter the starting lineup, which would mark his first start since the 114-109 loss to Sacramento on March 10.

Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Nets 30 points; exits w/ back issue
Siakam (back) supplied 30 points (13-24 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in 34 minutes during Friday's 129-108 loss to the Hornets.
Siakam rolled his left ankle and tweaked his back late in the game, which ended his evening prematurely. He didn't require a trip to the locker room, but this could be the sort of injury that swells up overnight, so don't be surprised if he pops up on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game in Cleveland. If Siakam needs to miss a game, Obi Toppin could get a start, and there would be more opportunities for Kobe Brown and Jay Huff on offense.
