  • Tigers' Jack Penney: Done for season

    Double-A Erie placed Penney on the full-season injured list June 12 with a left shoulder injury, J.J. Cooper of Baseball America reports. Penney missed the first seven weeks of the season with a hand injury and suffered the shoulder injury on a diving play in the field while still on his rehab assignment June 4. Penney, who turns 24 in August, has yet to play above High-A but hit .364/.417/.636 with one home run in seven rehab games across rookie ball and High-A.
