  • Giants' Argenis Cayama: Back in action with San Jose

    Single-A San Jose reinstated Cayama (back) from the 7-day injured list Friday. Cayama has yet to make an appearance for San Jose since being activated, but he's been cleared to return to action in the California League after making four rehab appearances in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League over the past two weeks. Between his stops in the ACL and at San Jose this season, Cayama has generated a 4.40 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 50:9 K:BB across 43 innings.

  • Giants' Argenis Cayama: Rehabbing in Arizona

    Single-A San Jose sent Cayama (back spasms) on a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on July 11. Per Josh Norris of Baseball America, Cayama was placed on the injured list at Single-A on June 5 due to back spasms. Still just 19, the 6-foot Cayama has a 4.17 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 50:8 K:BB in 41 innings, primarily in the Cal League.
