Tigers' Jake Miller: Back on IL
Double-A Erie placed Miller on its 7-day injured list Sunday due to an unspecified issue.
Miller opened the season on Triple-A Toledo's IL while he was recovering from October labral repair surgeries on both of his hips, but he was activated and assigned to Erie earlier in the week after completing a six rehab appearances across stops with three of the Tigers' lower-level affiliates. He made his debut for Erie on Tuesday and struck out two over three scoreless frames, but Miller apparently succumbed to a new injury coming out of that appearance.

Tigers' Jake Miller: Activated off 7-day IL
Miller (hips) was reinstated from Triple-A Toledo's 7-day injured list Saturday, Emily Waldon of Baseball America reports.
Miller landed on the 7-day IL in late March due to injuries to both sides of his hips. He has been cleared to return to Triple-A after posting a 0.89 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB in 20.1 frames across six rehab outings in the lower minors.

Tigers' Jake Miller: Ready for rehab assignment
Miller (hips) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Lakeland on Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Miller missed most of 2025 and has gotten a late start to the 2026 season as he works his way back from surgery on both hips. He's finally ready for game action and will eventually move up to the rotation either at Double-A Erie or Triple-A Toledo.

Tigers' Jake Miller: Cut from major-league camp
The Tigers optioned Miller (hip) to minor-league camp Friday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Miller is still recovering from surgery on both hips and did not make any Grapefruit League appearances. He will get a late start to the minor-league season, as well, and should eventually land at Double-A Erie.

Tigers' Jake Miller: Recovering from hip surgeries
Miller has been limited to playing catch thus far during spring training and is ramping up slowly after he underwent labral repair surgery on both of his hips in October, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
Though he's present at big-league camp and is soaking up knowledge from veteran pitchers such as Tarik Skubal and Justin Verlander, Miller isn't expected to pitch in any Grapefruit League games while he works his way back from a pair of surgeries. Instead, the 24-year-old prospect is focusing on a throwing program and getting back to full health. Miller showed some promise in 2025 when healthy, posting a 1.80 ERA and striking out 21 batters across 20 total innings between Single-A Lakeland and Double-A Erie. He will likely begin 2026 at Double-A again and could move up to Triple-A Toledo at some point if he continues to impress.
