The Red Sox promoted Mullins from Double-A Portland to Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday.
Mullins is expected to make his Worcester debut with a start Wednesday in Game 1 or 2 of the club's doubleheader with Rochester, per Brendan Campbell of BloggingTheRedSox.com. Though the 25-year-old submitted a 5.85 ERA and 1.44 WHIP across 47.2 innings with Portland, he's been one of the Eastern League's most prolific strikeout artists this season, ranking second on the circuit with a 34.8 K%.

Mullins (shoulder) has struck out six batters over 5.1 scoreless innings while scattering two hits and four walks in his two starts for Double-A Portland since being activated from the 7-day injured list May 25.
Mullins was sidelined for about three and a half weeks after experiencing right shoulder fatigue, but he hasn't missed a beat since rejoining the Portland rotation. Through his first three outings at the Double-A level since getting a promotion from High-A Greenville in late April, Mullins owns an 0.82 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB across 11 frames.

Double-A Portland placed Mullins on the 7-day injured list May 5 with an undisclosed injury.
Mullins earned a promotion from High-A Greenville on April 29 and made just one start for the Sea Dogs before landing on the shelf. The 24-year-old southpaw has a 1.19 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 37:7 K:BB in 22.2 innings across the two levels, although he walked four in 5.2 innings in his lone Double-A start.
