  • Orioles' Jayvien Sandridge: Traded to Baltimore

The Orioles acquired Sandridge from the Angels on Sunday in exchange for cash and optioned him to Triple-A Norfolk, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. Sandridge will reclaim a 40-man roster spot with his new organization after being DFA'ed by the Halos, but he's still set to begin the 2026 season in Triple-A, where he put up a 4.55 ERA and 1.47 WHIP across 31.2 innings last year. He'll serve as organizational bullpen depth for the O's.

  • Angels' Jayvien Sandridge: Dropped from 40-man

The Angels designated Sandridge for assignment Tuesday. Sandridge posted a 4.55 ERA across 31.2 innings with the Yankees' Triple-A affiliate last season, and he gave up five earned runs in just two innings during his brief time in major-league camp this spring. His poor performance will now cost him his place on the Angels' 40-man roster, making room for Joey Lucchesi, who signed a major-league deal with the team Tuesday.

  • Angels' Jayvien Sandridge: Shipped to Anaheim

The Yankees traded Sandridge to the Angels on Thursday in exchange for cash. Sandridge was DFA'd by the Yankees on Tuesday, but his move to the Angels will allow him to reclaim a 40-man roster spot. The 26-year-old was uninspiring during his MLB debut in July, giving up two earned runs in just two-thirds of an inning. He finished with a 4.55 ERA and 1.47 WHIP through 31.2 frames at Triple-A, however, and he could be used more frequently in the big leagues by an Angels squad that doesn't boast much bullpen depth. Osvaldo Bido was DFA'd in a corresponding move.

  • Yankees' Jayvien Sandridge: Scrubbed from 40-man roster

The Yankees designated Sandridge for assignment Tuesday. Sandridge got his feet wet in the big leagues in 2025, getting knocked around in his lone appearance for the Yankees. The left-hander posted a 4.55 ERA and 47:17 K:BB over 31.2 frames last season at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Sandridge's career 32.4 percent strikeout rate in the minors could pique the interest of teams on waivers, but he's also posted a bloated 17 percent walk rate on the farm.

  • Yankees' Jayvien Sandridge: Returns to minors

The Yankees optioned Sandridge to Triple-Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday. The left-hander allowed two runs over two-thirds of an inning during his MLB debut Saturday against the Mets, and he'll now head back to the minors. Sandridge has a 0.87 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 19:5 K:BB in nine appearances with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season.

  • Yankees' Jayvien Sandridge: Back in majors

The Yankees recalled Sandridge from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday. The 26-year-old was optioned to Triple-A on June 22 but will quickly return to the majors as Clarke Schmidt (forearm) heads to the injured list. Sandridge has given up just one earned run with a 19:5 K:BB across 10.1 innings with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season and is looking to make his MLB debut.

  • Yankees' Jayvien Sandridge: Bound for Triple-A

The Yankees optioned Sandridge to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Sunday's 4-2 win over the Orioles. New York called up Sandridge from the minors for the second time in less than week, but he'll once again be returned to the minors without having made an appearance out of the big-league bullpen. The Yankees haven't announced a corresponding move, but right-hander Allan Winans is expected to be recalled from Triple-A on Monday to start the team's series opener in Cincinnati.

  • Yankees' Jayvien Sandridge: Returns to big club

The Yankees recalled Sandridge from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday. New York optioned Sandridge to Triple-A after Thursday's 7-3 win over the Angels, but he'll be eligible to rejoin the big club just three days later since the Yankees placed lefty Ryan Yarbrough (oblique) on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Sandridge will work out of the bullpen and is expected to be utilized mainly in lower-leverage spots.
