  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Fans eight in no-decison

Bradish didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Yankees, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over four innings. Bradish came out hot, striking out Trent Grisham to begin the day, but was tagged for a solo homer by Ben Rice before he could generate any more momentum. Later, three consecutive singles brought home another run in the fourth but the right-hander responded by striking out the side to escape further damage and keep Baltimore in the game. The 29-year-old has been sharp in limited action this season, never allowing more than two runs in any of his six starts while racking up a 13.2 K/9. Bradish posts a 2.53 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 47:10 K:BB across 32 innings.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Sharp again Sunday

Bradish allowed a run on two hits and two walks over six innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Yankees. He struck out nine. Bradish was excellent Sunday, holding New York scoreless through five innings before eventually allowing a lone run with two outs in the sixth. Bradish has yet to allow more than two runs in four starts since his return from Tommy John surgery while holding opponents to a single run in each of his last three outings. Bradish will carry a 2.25 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP and 39 strikeouts in his next start, tentatively scheduled as a rematch with the Yankees next week.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Punches out nine in first win

Bradish (1-1) earned the win Monday, allowing a run on four hits and four walks over five innings in a 4-1 victory over the White Sox. He struck out nine. Bradish matched his walk total from his first three outings with four free passes Monday, but he still missed bats and worked through the White Sox lineup effectively. The right-hander has been sharp despite an abbreviated 2025 season following Tommy John surgery, carrying a 2.45 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 12.3 K/9 across 22 innings.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Fires seven frames versus Pirates

Bradish allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out six over seven innings Tuesday against the Pirates. He did not factor into the decision. The Pirates plated a run in the first versus Bradish and he shut them down from there, allowing just three baserunners the rest of the way. Tuesday was his longest outing in three starts since returning from Tommy John surgery, though a potential win was spoiled after Tommy Pham tied the game up in the ninth with a homer. Nonetheless, Bradish has been magnificent in a short sample size. He owns a 2.65 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 21:4 K:BB in 17 innings and lines up for a favorable start on the road against the White Sox next week.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Labors through four frames Monday

Bradish completed four innings in a no-decision against San Diego on Monday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five batters. Bradish wasn't nearly as effective as in his season debut last Tuesday, when he struck out 10 over six innings. On Monday, the right-hander needed 84 pitches to get through just four innings, though he did finish strongly by retiring the final seven batters he faced. Bradish also promisingly fanned five batters and has now racked up 15 punchouts over 10 innings across his two starts. He's lined up to make his next appearance at home against Pittsburgh.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Fans 10 in return to rotation

Bradish (0-1) took the loss Tuesday as the Orioles were downed 5-0 by the Red Sox, giving up two runs on four hits over six innings. He struck out 10 without walking a batter. The 28-year-old righty staged an impressive return from elbow surgery, as Bradish racked up 15 swinging strikes among his 81 pitches (51 total strikes). He served up solo shots to Trevor Story and David Hamilton, but a lack of run support more than anything spoiled Bradish's 2025 debut. Bradish will look for a better result in his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week in San Diego.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Activated ahead of season debut

The Orioles activated Bradish (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday. Bradish is set to make his season debut Tuesday against the Red Sox after completing the long road back from Tommy John surgery with an internal brace. The right-hander posted a 4.91 ERA and 25:8 K:BB over 22 innings covering six rehab starts. Bradish threw 89 pitches during his final rehab outing, so he should be prepared to take on a fairly normal workload Tuesday.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Season debut set for Tuesday

The Orioles confirmed that Bradish (elbow) will be activated from the 60-day injured list to start Tuesday's against the Red Sox at Camden Yards, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports. As anticipated, Bradish will slot back into the Baltimore rotation this week to make his first appearance for the big club since June 14, 2024, which came less than a week before he required Tommy John surgery with an internal brace. After a lengthy recovery and buildup process, the righty was cleared to begin a rehab assignment shortly after the All-Star break, and though he produced underwhelming numbers overall across his six starts in the minors (4.91 ERA, 1.41 WHIP in 22 innings), he was sharper over his final two appearances at Triple-A Norfolk (2.79 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, 12:4 K:BB in 9.2 innings). Bradish tossed 89 pitches in his most recent outing with Norfolk this past Wednesday, so he shouldn't be operating with much of a workload restriction in his 2025 debut for Baltimore.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Likely to start Tuesday

Interim manager Tony Mansolino said Saturday that Bradish (elbow) will likely be activated from the 60-day injured list to start Tuesday's game against the Red Sox in Baltimore, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. The 28-year-old has been on the shelf all season while completing his recovery from June 2024 Tommy John surgery, and he finally appears to have reached the finish line. During the sixth start of his rehab assignment Wednesday, Bradish tossed 89 pitches while covering 4.2 innings and allowing three earned runs on six hits and two walks for Triple-A Norfolk. Overall, Bradish produced a 4.91 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 25:8 K:BB in 22 innings over stops with Norfolk and Double-A Chesapeake during his assignment.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Slated for season debut next week

Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said Monday that he expects Bradish (elbow) to return from the 60-day injured list and make his season debut Aug. 25, 26 or 27 against the Red Sox, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports. Working his way back from June 2024 Tommy John surgery, Bradish struck out nine across five scoreless frames in his most recent rehab outing with Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday. Bradish is slated to make one more rehab start before making his long-awaited return to the Orioles rotation.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Sharp in second rehab outing

Bradish (elbow) made his second rehab start for Double-A Chesapeake on Tuesday, allowing one hit and no walks in 3.2 shutout innings. He struck out two. Bradish was sharp on the mound while cruising through 3.2 frames. The 28-year-old right-hander built up to only 38 pitches Tuesday, after he fired 37 in first appearance with High-A Aberdeen last Thursday. Bradish remains a worthy stash candidate in most fantasy leagues -- he had a 2.75 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 53:15 K:BB across eight starts in 2024 -- though he's still in line to make several more rehab starts before rejoining Baltimore's rotation.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Throws 37 pitches in rehab start

Bradish (elbow) made his first rehab start with High-A Aberdeen on Thursday, striking out four while allowing one earned run on two hits and one walk in two innings. Bradish made his first appearance since undergoing Tommy John surgery last June, tossing 37 pitches over his two-inning appearance. The 28-year-old right-hander encouragingly touched 97 miles per hour with his fastball and also generated seven whiffs. Fantasy managers can consider Bradish worthy of stashing in most formats -- the righty held a strong 2.75 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 53:15 K:BB over eight starts in 2024 before suffering the season-ending elbow injury -- but he's unlikely to rejoin Baltimore's rotation until mid-to-late August since he'll need several more rehab appearances to get stretched back out.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Rehab assignment pending

Bradish (elbow) will throw two innings of live batting practice Saturday and is expected to begin a rehab assignment next week, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. Bradish has faced hitters several times already, so assuming he makes it through Saturday's workout unscathed, he'll be ready to advance to the final phase of his recovery from his June 19, 2024 Tommy John surgery, which involved the insertion of an internal brace. Bradish will need several minor-league outings to get fully stretched out, so he likely won't be cleared to return from the 60-day injured list until mid-to-late August.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Close to rehab assignment

Orioles interim manager Tony Mansolino said Tuesday that Bradish (elbow) will throw at least one more live batting practice session in Florida before beginning a minor-league rehab assignment, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports. Bradish has already completed two live BP sessions, so if he's able to face hitters again at some point later this week, he could be cleared to pitch in games shortly after the All-Star break. The right-hander is working his way back from Tommy John surgery with an internal brace, a procedure he underwent June 19, 2024. Barring any setbacks in his recovery during his rehab assignment, Bradish could be ready to join the Baltimore rotation at some point in August.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: To face live hitters next week

Bradish (elbow) will head to Baltimore's complex in Florida on Sunday and will begin throwing live batting practice, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports. Bradish is on track in his recovery from Tommy John surgery, recently completing a goal he set in May of facing live hitters at the start of July. Bradish will likely require a few live sessions before seeing game action. He shouldn't be expected back until at least early August.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Continuing to progress

Bradish (elbow) said Wednesday he's about halfway through his bullpen progression and is hoping to throw live BP in early July, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports. Bradish's recovery from Tommy John surgery continues to go smoothly, and he's set a target goal for the next step in his progression. If he begins facing live hitters in early July and goes out on a minor-league rehab assignment shortly thereafter, he could be back with the Orioles in August.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Throws first bullpen

Bradish (elbow) threw a bullpen session Saturday, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports. It's the first bullpen session Bradish has thrown since he underwent Tommy John surgery last June. He still isn't expected to be activated from the injured list until the second half of the season, but a return to mound work is still a significant milestone.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Placed on 60-day IL

The Orioles placed Bradish (elbow) on the 60-day injured list Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. Bradish isn't expected to return until the second half of the season as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery, so his move to the 60-day IL has no impact on his return timeline. It does, however, free up a spot on the 40-man roster for Kyle Gibson, who signed a one-year deal with the O's on Friday.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Second-half return possible

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Friday that Bradish (elbow) is "right on track" with his recovery and could contribute at some point during the second half, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports. Bradish underwent Tommy John surgery with an internal brace last June and is still in the relatively early stages of his throwing program. It's been so far, so good for the right-hander's rehab, but he has no firm timeline for his return.

  • Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Shifts to 60-day IL

The Orioles transferred Bradish (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Thursday, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports. The right-hander underwent Tommy John surgery with an internal brace in mid-June, so it was only a matter of time before he was moved to the 60-day IL to free up space on the 40-man roster. Bradish isn't guaranteed to take the mound for the Orioles in 2025 given his initial recovery timeline of 12-to-18 months.
