  • Cardinals' Chase Davis: Activated and moved up to Triple-A

Davis (undisclosed) was activated from the 7-day injured list and promoted from Double-A Springfield to Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday.

Davis missed one month of action with an undisclosed injury and had played six rehab games. The 24-year-old has slashed .231/.359/.446 with eight home runs, nine stolen bases and a 26:38 BB:K over 37 games this season during his time with Springfield. The 2023 first-round pick will be getting his first taste of the Pacific Coast League.

  • Cardinals' Chase Davis: Multi-homer spring game

Davis swatted a pair of home runs Monday in Grapefruit League action versus the Orioles.

Davis launched a 423-foot blast off of Trey Gibson in the third inning before adding a more modest 376-foot shot to the opposite field in the seventh. It was the first multi-homer spring training game for a Cardinals player since 2023. The former first-round pick is coming off a disappointing 2025 season, having slashed just .242/.358/.353 with 10 home runs in 113 games at Double-A Springfield. Davis is likely headed back to Springfield for the start of the 2026 season.

  • Cardinals' Chase Davis: Moving to Double-A

Davis was promoted from High-A Peoria to Double-A Springfield on Friday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

The 22-year-old was promoted to Peoria from Single-A Palm Beach at the end of July, and he'll move up another level five weeks later. Davis posted a .296/.372/.443 slash line with three homers in 30 games at High-A and should have a chance to get to Triple-A in 2025 if he continues to hit.

  • Cardinals' Chase Davis: Moves up to High-A

Davis was promoted from Single-A Palm Beach to High-A Peoria on Tuesday, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.

A first-round pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, Davis really struggled at Palm Beach last year and for the first two months of this season, but he got going this June and has put up a .917 OPS with six home runs since the start of that month. He'll now be tested against a higher level of competition.
