Tigers' Max Clark: Tallies two hits Wednesday
Clark went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Pirates.
Clark managed a double against Pittsburgh ace Paul Skenes and added another hit for his second multi-hit performance of the three-game series against the Pirates. After a scorching hot start to his MLB career, the rookie outfielder has slowed down a bit recently, but he's still managed a very respectable .271/.320/.414 slash line overall across 18 games. Clark should continue to see regular playing time down the stretch for the Tigers, which should prepare him well for an Opening Day role in 2027.

Tigers' Max Clark: Sitting Saturday
Clark isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
The lefty-swinging Clark will receive his first day off since arriving in the big leagues as the Tigers prepare to face left-hander Anthony Kay. Ben Malgeri, Javier Baez and Corey Julks will form Detroit's outfield trio Saturday.

Tigers' Max Clark: Triples, drives in two Saturday
Clark went 2-for-5 with a triple, a run scored and two RBI in Saturday's 8-0 win over the Giants.
Clark has at least one hit in seven of his first eight MLB games, and his triple Saturday was his first. The 21-year-old is making a strong first impression, as he's slashing .333/.421/.545 through 38 plate appearances. Clark has settled in as Detroit's regular center fielder, and his impressive combination of power and speed makes him an appealing fantasy option with plenty of upside.

Tigers' Max Clark: Hits first homer
Clark went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 8-6 win over the Athletics.
The rookie has taken advantage of a favorable hitting environment in Sacramento in his first two MLB games, going 5-for-9 with a homer, three RBI and two doubles. Clark hit 11 homers in 90 contests for Triple-A Toledo before he received his first major-league call-up Friday. The outfielder should get the chance to see a near-everyday role for the remainder of the season.

Tigers' Max Clark: Collects three hits in MLB debut
Clark went 3-for-4 with a walk, two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 13-1 win over the Athletics.
Clark batted seventh in his MLB debut and wasted no time making a strong first impression. All three hits were to the opposite field, but he wasn't getting away with weak contact -- his second two-bagger of the night left his bat at 99.2 mph. The talented 21-year-old, who was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, was starting to heat up at Triple-A Toledo before earning the promotion. Now that he's in the majors, Clark should slot in as Detroit's everyday center fielder, which gives him immediate appeal across all fantasy formats considering his significant upside.

Tigers' Max Clark: Called up ahead of MLB debut
The Tigers selected Clark's contract from Triple-A Toledo on Friday.
Clark, the No. 3 overall pick of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, will make his major-league debut Friday, starting in center field and batting seventh against southpaw Jeffrey Springs and the Athletics. Clark earned his big-league promotion by slashing .276/.368/.434 with 21 steals, 11 home runs and 42 RBI across 418 plate appearances in Triple-A.

Tigers' Max Clark: Headed to big leagues
The Tigers are expected to call up Clark from Triple-A Toledo prior to Friday's game against the Athletics, Emily Waldon of Baseball America reports.
Clark has earned his first big-league promotion after slashing .276/.368/.434 with 11 home runs, 21 stolen bases and a 50:66 BB:K over 90 games with Toledo, which includes a 1.086 OPS in July. The No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, Clark should take over as the everyday center fielder in Detroit, pushing Javier Baez into a utility role.

Tigers' Max Clark: Heating up after slow start
Clark, who homered in Wednesday's game against Triple-A Columbus, is batting .338 with five long balls in 19 games this month for Toledo.
Clark scuffled a little bit through the end of May and had only two home runs in his first 50 games of the season, but he's now gone deep nine times in his last 40 contests and is batting .276 with an .801 OPS overall. The talented 21-year-old remains one of the top prospects in baseball, and his recent stretch could set him up for his MLB debut later in the year, particularly if the Tigers fade out of contention and decide to prioritize playing some of their younger talent.

Tigers' Max Clark: Struggling at Triple-A
Clark is batting .138 (8-for-58) with a double and no home runs in his past 15 games with Triple-A Toledo.
The 21-year-old had a hot start to the campaign with a 1.010 OPS and 10:6 BB:K in his first 17 Triple-A contests, but his production has cratered since mid-April. Clark remains one of Detroit's top prospects, but he'll likely need to show he can consistently handle Triple-A pitching before he's in serious consideration for a promotion.

Tigers' Max Clark: More walks than Ks at Triple-A
Clark is slashing .352/.439/.537 with zero home runs, six steals, a 15.2 percent walk rate and a 7.6 percent strikeout rate in 14 games for Triple-A Toledo.
The Tigers are currently deploying a combination of Javier Baez and Matt Vierling in center field with Parker Meadows (broken arm, concussion) on the 60-day injured list. Clark will certainly stay at Triple-A for the rest of the week, as the Tigers gain an extra year of control by keeping him down until April 20, but once that threshold is passed, Detroit could hand the keys to Clark in center field. As with many great up-the-middle prospects, Clark's power is a little behind the rest of his tools, but he is such a good pure hitter that he should get the most of his average raw power.

Tigers' Max Clark: Sent to minor-league camp
Clark was reassigned to minor-league camp Monday.
This was the expected outcome for the top prospect, who has yet to appear above the Double-A level and is still only 21 years old. While Clark went just 2-for-18 with five strikeouts in Grapefruit League play, he still managed to impress manager A.J. Hinch with his preparation and attention to detail, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports. Clark will likely see time at both the Double-A and Triple-A levels this season, and he could force himself up to the majors if he plays well in the minors, though he'll need to be added to the 40-man roster first.
