Brewers' Luke Adams: Healthy again at Double-A
Adams (shoulder) went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts in his return to the Double-A Biloxi lineup Tuesday after being reinstated from the 7-day injured list.
Adams was back in action for Biloxi for the first time since June 20 after a left shoulder contusion kept him out for an extended period. He was cleared to rejoin the Double-A club after recently wrapping up a nine-game rehab assignment at High-A Wisconsin, during which he slashed .200/.475/.280. During his time with Biloxi this season, Adams has produced a .411 on-base percentage while slugging 11 home runs and stealing 10 bases across 263 plate appearances.

Brewers' Luke Adams: Lands on 7-day IL
Adams was placed on Double-A Biloxi's 7-day injured list Friday due to a left shoulder contusion, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Adams suffered the injury in Thursday's game against Knoxville on a collision at home plate. He has spent the entire 2025 season in Double-A and is slashing .236/.419/.472 with 10 steals, 13 doubles, 11 home runs and 38 RBI over 258 plate appearances.

Brewers' Luke Adams: OBP-driven game at High-A
Adams slashed .227/.443/.397 with 11 home runs, 28 steals, an 18.7 percent walk rate and a 21.3 percent strikeout rate in 101 games for High-A Wisconsin.
His results were eerily similar last year at Single-A, when he hit .233 with a .400 on-base percentage, 11 home runs and 30 steals in 99 games. The 6-foot-4 third baseman has never been worse than 35 percent better than league average (135 wRC+), but he has also never hit above .233 in a full-season league. It's an odd overall skill set, as Adams is clearly an OBP machine, but like Tyler Black before him, his stolen-base totals oversell his actual foot speed, and it's unclear if he'll hit for enough power to play corner-infield on a first-division team.

Brewers' Luke Adams: Disturbing splits at Single-A
Adams is slashing .236/.402/.406 with 11 home runs, 30 steals and a 22.1 percent strikeout rate in 98 games for Single-A Carolina.
Adams has an odd looking swing and doesn't project to offer much defensive value down the road (time at third base and first base this year), but his plate skills as a 19-year-old slugger at Single-A are intriguing. His 0.78 BB/K is the 11th best mark among all qualified Single-A hitters, and the fourth-best mark among that subset that also have an ISO north of .150. However, the righty-hitting Adams has a .931 OPS and an 11.7 percent strikeout rate in 94 plate appearances against lefties, compared to a .775 OPS and a 24.9 percent strikeout rate in 341 plate appearances against righties. He will either need to turn himself into an average defensive third baseman or make significant improvements against same-handed pitching to project as a big-league regular.
