Astros' Wes Clarke: Shipped to Houston
The Brewers traded Clarke to the Astros on Tuesday in exchange for cash, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.
Clarke has spent the entire season at Triple-A Nashville, where he's slashed .216/.352/.358 with six home runs, 16 RBI and 18 runs scored across 182 plate appearances. He won't possess a spot on the Astros' 40-man roster, but he could have a clearer path to eventually contributing at the big-league level as he moves on to a new organization. Clarke will report to the Astros' Double-A affiliate in Corpus Christi.
