Beavers took Jason Alexander deep in the second inning and added a second RBI with a fielder's choice in the sixth. The homer was the first of Beavers' big-league career. Beavers was scratched from Thursday's lineup after running into the outfield wall during batting practice, and the injury is severe enough for him to need a stint on the 7-day IL, per Jake Rill of MLB.com. Beavers is slashing .303/.397/.421 with 15 steals, three home runs and 18 RBI across 175 plate appearances in Triple-A this season.

Beavers, the 33rd overall pick in the 2022 First-Year Player Draft, earned the move to the Eastern League after posting an .832 OPS while walking in 13.9 percent of his plate appearances and stealing 22 bases in 28 attempts. The 21-year-old hit only nine home runs in his 85 games at Aberdeen, but at 6-foot-4, he possesses the sort of frame to add power as he matures.
