  • Nationals' Nash Walters: Joining Nationals on MiLB deal

    Walters signed a minor-league contract with the Nationals on Sunday and was assigned to Double-A Harrisburg. Walters was cut loose by the White Sox in mid-July and has now latched on with a new organization. The right-hander struggled between the Double-A and Triple-A levels for Chicago and surrendered 30 earned runs across 28 innings, though he also recorded 44 strikeouts.

  • Nash Walters: Cut by ChiSox

    The White Sox released Walters on Thursday. The White Sox needed to clear a spot on the Triple-A Charlotte roster for Mike Mayers, whom the team acquired from the Royals on Wednesday. After making one appearance in the majors for the Angels a season ago, Walters had pitched exclusively in the minors since joining the White Sox in April. Between stops at Charlotte and Double-A Birmingham, Walters accrued a 9.64 ERA and 1.86 WHIP over 28 innings.

  • White Sox's Nash Walters: Gets MiLB deal from ChiSox

    The White Sox signed Walters to a minor-league contract Wednesday. The Angels cut Walters loose in spring training shortly after informing him that he wouldn't be included in the Opening Day bullpen, but the 25-year-old right-hander was able to find a new organization just under a month later. Walters, who made one appearance at the big-league level with the Halos in 2022, is expected to report to Triple-A Charlotte.
