Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: Monster performance in Game 2
Varsho went 4-for-5 with two home runs, two doubles, four RBI and four runs scored in Sunday's 13-7 win over the Yankees in Game 2 of the ALDS.
Varsho was unstoppable in Game 2, knocking doubles in the second and third frames before launching a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth. He later added a solo home run in the sixth inning, which was his final hit of the day. Varsho has come out of the gates red-hot in the postseason, going 6-for-8 with two home runs, four RBI and six runs scored over the first two games of the ALDS.

Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: Blasts grand slam, reaches 20 HR
Varsho went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Red Sox.
Varsho provided a majority of the game's offense, crushing a 371-foot shot off Justin Wilson in the sixth inning to put Toronto ahead for good. The homer was the outfielder's 20th of the season and his fifth in September, marking the third time in the last four years he's reached the 20-homer mark. The 29-year-old is up to a .237/.286/.559 slash line with 12 doubles, 55 RBI and 40 runs across 259 plate appearances.

Varsho is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.
With lefty Ian Seymour on the hill for Tampa Bay, Varsho will be joined on the bench by fellow left-handed batters Nathan Lukes, Joey Loperfido and Andres Gimenez as the Blue Jays stack the lineup with right-handed bats. Myles Straw will spell Varsho in center field.

Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: Exiting lineup against lefty
Varsho is absent from the lineup for Friday's game versus the Orioles.

Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: Goes yard in third straight game
Varsho went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday's win over the Reds.

Varsho has homered in three straight games, giving him 18 long balls on the year in only 51 games, and over his last 25 contests he's slashing a fearsome .295/.367/.731 with 17 runs and 26 RBI.

Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: Socks 16th homer
Varsho went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Reds.
The center fielder took Reds closer Emilio Pagan deep in the ninth inning, capping a three-run rally that gave the Blue Jays a 4-2 lead, but the Toronto bullpen immediately handed it right back to Cincy in the bottom of the frame. Varsho was out of the lineup for a couple games due to a bruised hand, but Monday's long ball was a strong sign that he's fully healthy. Over the course of an injury-plagued season, Varsho has 16 homers and a career-best .866 OPS in just 49 games.

Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: Back in action Monday
Varsho (hand) will start in center field and bat fifth in Monday's game against the Reds.
Varsho will make his return to the lineup after he had been held out of the starting nine for the final two games of the Blue Jays' weekend series versus Milwaukee due to a bruised right hand. He ended up coming off the bench and played an inning of center field in Sunday's 8-4 win, and with his hand providing no apparent complications following that contest, Varsho was given the green light to start in Monday's series opener in Cincinnati.

Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: Sitting again Sunday
Varsho (hand) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Varsho was hit by a pitch on the right hand Friday and was diagnosed with a contusion after X-rays came back negative, and he'll be held out of the starting nine Sunday for a second straight game. The 29-year-old was reportedly available off the bench for Saturday's contest but didn't appear in the game, and he'll presumably be available in that capacity again Sunday.

Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: Not starting Saturday but improving
Varsho (hand) isn't in the starting lineup Saturday versus Milwaukee but could be available as a defensive replacement or pinch hitter, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Varsho had to make an early exit from Friday's contest after being hit by a pitch on his right hand. X-rays returned negative, and manager John Schneider shared Saturday morning that Varsho is doing well but is dealing with some pain and swelling. The team intends to test Varsho out pre-game to see if he could be available as a late-inning option, while Myles Straw is starting in center field in his stead Saturday.

Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: X-rays negative
X-rays on Varsho's right hand came back negative after he was hit by a pitch in the seventh inning of Friday's loss to Milwaukee, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
The Blue Jays may hold Varsho out for a game or two so that he can properly recover, but the fact that he escaped the incident without any structural damage bodes well for his chances of avoiding the injured list. Myles Straw would be the likely choice to start in center field if Varsho sits.

Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: Hit by pitch, exits game
Varsho was removed from Friday's game against the Brewers after taking a pitch off his right hand, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.
Varsho had gone 0-for-2 with a strikeout before being plunked by a 97-mph sinker in the seventh inning. He was immediately lifted for a pinch runner, and the Blue Jays will now bring him in for examination to determine whether he suffered any structural damage. He can be considered day-to-day for the time being.
