  • Rangers' Caleb Boushley: Back in MLB

The Rangers recalled Boushley from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday. The 31-year-old will claim the roster spot vacated by Nathan Eovaldi, who landed on the injured list Wednesday with a season-ending shoulder injury. Boushley has turned in a 5.22 ERA through 39.2 innings with the Rangers despite owning a 1.08 ERA in Triple-A, and he'll presumably take on a multi-inning role out of the bullpen now that he's back in Arlington.

  • Rangers' Caleb Boushley: Struggles in spot start

Boushley took a no-decision Wednesday against Kansas City, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks in three innings. He struck out one. Boushley struggled in his first start of the season, though it's worth noting he was working on just one day of rest. The right-hander threw 68 pitches Wednesday, so he likely won't be available out of the Rangers' bullpen for a few days. Boushley has a 5.22 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 36:13 K:BB across 39.2 innings, and Jacob deGrom (shoulder) is tentatively projected to retake his place in Texas' rotation next week against the division-rival Angels.

  • Rangers' Caleb Boushley: Starting Wednesday's game

Boushley will start for the Rangers in Wednesday's game versus the Royals, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports. Boushley has made five starts at Triple-A Round Rock this season and often pitches multiple innings in his relief outings with the Rangers. However, he will be taking the hill on one day of rest and last covered more than one inning in an appearance 10 days ago, so the Texas bullpen will be heavily involved Wednesday. Boushley shouldn't be expected to work deep enough into the start to qualify for a win.

  • Rangers' Caleb Boushley: Sent down to Triple-A

The Rangers optioned Boushley to Triple-A Round Rock on Friday. Boushley will head back to the minors to make room on Texas' pitching staff for new acquisition Merrill Kelly. Boushley gave up three runs in 5.1 innings during his most recent stint in the big leagues, giving him a 5.05 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP through 35.2 innings on the season.

  • Rangers' Caleb Boushley: Sent back to Triple-A

The Rangers optioned Boushley to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday. After giving up five earned runs on 10 hits and one walk while tossing four innings and 72 pitches in relief in Sunday's 8-3 loss to the Pirates, Boushley wasn't going to be available for at least the next couple of days, so the Rangers opted to move him off the active roster in exchange for a fresh arm. Texas called up right-hander Dane Dunning from Triple-A to replace Boushley.

  • Rangers' Caleb Boushley: Promoted Sunday

The Rangers recalled Boushley from Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday. The 31-year-old was sent down Thursday but will rejoin the big-league roster ahead of Sunday's series finale versus Houston. • Rangers' Caleb Boushley: Shuttled back to minors

Boushley was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday. Boushley has split the season almost exactly evenly between the majors and Round Rock. He threw 2.1 shutout innings Wednesday and has allowed only one earned run across his last 8.1 frames in the majors. Cole Winn was called up in a corresponding move.

  • Rangers' Caleb Boushley: Back in Texas bullpen

The Rangers recalled Boushley from Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday. Boushley had been optioned to Round Rock on Monday, but he's eligible to rejoin the Rangers just three days later after the team placed catcher Kyle Higashioka (intercostal) on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. The Rangers are likely to deploy Boushley in long relief after the right-hander allowed five runs on six hits and two walks over 7.2 innings across his prior three appearances with the big club this season.

  • Rangers' Caleb Boushley: Optioned to Triple-A

The Rangers optioned Boushley to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports. • Rangers' Caleb Boushley: Starting 2025 in Triple-A

The Rangers assigned Boushley to Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday. Boushley signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers in November after appearing in just two regular-season games for the Twins in 2024. He pitched in eight spring training games and posted a 3.27 ERA and 1.27 WHIP across 11 innings. Boushley will start the 2025 campaign in Round Rock, but he could get a major-league call-up if the Rangers need right-handed depth out of the bullpen.

  • Rangers' Caleb Boushley: Gets minors deal from Texas

Boushley signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers on Friday. Boushley has struggled in the minors over the past couple of seasons, turning in a 5.17 ERA and 1.37 WHIP over 270 total innings between the Brewers' and Twins' Triple-A affiliates since 2023. Nonetheless, he'll join the Rangers organization to help fill out the rotation at Triple-A Round Rock, though he likely won't be much of a factor for the big-league squad.

  • Twins' Caleb Boushley: Contract selected

The Twins selected Boushley's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports. After pushing Trevor Richards off the 40-man roster, the Twins will now call upon Boushley to fill the open spot in their bullpen. The 30-year-old has allowed two earned runs over two innings in the big leagues this season, and he owns a 4.97 ERA and 1.30 WHIP across 116 innings (22 starts) in the minors. He'll presumably serve as a long reliever while with the Twins.

  • Twins' Caleb Boushley: Outrighted to Triple-A

The Twins outrighted Boushley to Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. Boushley was removed from the 40-man roster over the weekend but has cleared waivers and will stick around in the organization. The 30-year-old has spent virtually all of 2024 at St. Paul, where he holds a 4.68 ERA in 16 starts.

  • Twins' Caleb Boushley: Candidate to be called up

Boushley is a candidate to be called up to replace injured Chris Paddack in the Minnesota rotation, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. Boushley is already on the 40-man roster, a designation top prospect David Festa, who's also in Triple-A St. Paul's rotation, doesn't possess. Boushley gave up two runs over two innings in his lone appearance in the majors this season, and he has a 3.52 ERA and 7.8 K/9 at St. Paul. The Twins will likely call up a pitcher to start Thursday at Arizona.

  • Twins' Caleb Boushley: Sent to Triple-A

The Twins optioned Boushley to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday. The club will announce a corresponding move prior to Friday's game against the Rangers. Boushley has yielded two runs over two relief innings during his brief time in the majors this season.

  • Twins' Caleb Boushley: Sent back to Triple-A

The Twins optioned Boushley to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Minnesota will wait until shortly before Friday's series opener versus the Red Sox to announce a corresponding roster move, but Boushley will head back to Triple-A just one day after being called up. He didn't appear in long relief Wednesday in the Twins' 10-5 win over the White Sox.

  • Twins' Caleb Boushley: Added to big-league roster

The Twins selected Boushley's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. Boushley has pitched well in St. Paul's rotation this season, collecting a 4.00 ERA and 30:4 K:BB across 27 innings. The 30-year-old will offer the Twins some length in their bullpen in the short term.

  • Brewers' Caleb Boushley: Optioned to rookie ball

The Brewers optioned Boushley to the Arizona Complex League on Saturday. Boushley was selected to the active roster Friday and looked solid during his MLB debut, giving up one run while pitching the final 2.1 frames and striking out five batters en route to collecting his first big-league win. He'll continue to work at the Brewers' facility in Arizona and could rejoin the team should Milwaukee's bullpen take a hit during the postseason. Clayton Andrews was sent to Arizona alongside Boushley, and Eric Lauer and Trevor Megill (paternity) took their places on the active roster.

  • Brewers' Caleb Boushley: Selected to MLB roster

The Brewers selected Boushley's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Friday. Boushley recorded a 5.11 ERA and 1.38 WHIP through 135.2 innings with Nashville this season. He won't start Friday's game against the Cubs, but the 29-year-old Wisconsin native could give the Brewers a few innings out of the bullpen behind Colin Rea. Julio Teheran was designated for assignment to clear a spot on the 40-man roster.
