  • Mariners' Eduard Bazardo: Excellent stretch continues

Bazardo threw a scoreless eighth inning Saturday against the Athletics, allowing no hits and one walk with no strikeouts. That's now seven consecutive scoreless appearances for Bazardo, who's given up just three runs over his past 16 outings. The right-hander has been very effective out of Seattle's bullpen since the start of June, turning in a 1.73 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 38:14 K:BB across his last 36.1 innings.

  • Mariners' Eduard Bazardo: Credited with fourth win Saturday

Bazardo (4-0) notched the win and threw a clean 11th inning in Saturday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Astros. He struck out two. While Bazardo remains well out of contention for save opportunities behind All-Star closer Andres Munoz, the former has been very effective overall when summoned from Seattle's bullpen. Bazardo owned a 6.35 ERA through April 17, but he's produced an excellent 1.83 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 38:17 K:BB over his last 39.1 innings (34 outings).

  • Mariners' Eduard Bazardo: Wraps up Sunday's win

Bazardo threw a scoreless ninth inning in Sunday's 6-0 win over Cleveland, allowing one hit and fanning one. The 29-year-old right-hander submitted his fourth consecutive scoreless appearance and his eighth in his last nine outings. Bazardo has no holds and a lone save opportunity in 2025, so he remains ranked fairly low in Seattle's bullpen hierarchy. On the campaign, he still owns a quality 3.41 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB through 34.1 innings.

  • Mariners' Eduard Bazardo: Finishes off blowout victory

Bazardo threw a scoreless ninth inning in Tuesday's 9-1 win over the Nationals. He struck out one. Bazardo is searching for some consistency, as he's given up at least one run in three of his seven appearances this month. His longest scoreless stretch of the season is just five outings, which he accomplished from April 6 through April 15, but he's still kept his ratios in check with a 4.21 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 21:11 K:BB over 25.2 innings. However, Bazardo owns zero holds or saves in 2025, and he'll likely remain primarily in a middle-relief role going forward.

  • Mariners' Eduard Bazardo: Works two innings in season debut

Bazardo made his season debut in Thursday's 11-1 loss to the Twins, allowing an earned run on a hit and a walk over two innings. He struck out four. Manager Scott Servais found the ideal low-leverage setting for Bazardo's first taste of action after a long stint on the IL due to a right rotator cuff strain, deploying the right-hander in the fifth and sixth innings of a game in which the Mariners already faced an eight-run deficit. Bazardo located 22 of his 35 pitches for strikes, with the one run he surrendered coming on a Manuel Margot groundout. Bazardo will likely work in middle relief.
