Rangers' Adolis Garcia: Smacks two-run homer in return
Garcia went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during the Rangers' 10-0 win over the Guardians on Saturday.
Garcia was activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Saturday's game after fully recovering from a sprained left ankle, and he gave the Rangers some insurance in the fifth inning with a two-run blast to left field. It was Garcia's 17th home run of the season, which is second most on the Rangers behind Wyatt Langford and Corey Seager (19 each). Garcia is slashing .224/.266/.394 with 10 steals, 47 runs and 66 RBI across 477 plate appearances this season.

Rangers' Adolis Garcia: Officially activated Saturday
The Rangers activated Garcia (ankle) off the 10-day injured list Saturday.
Garcia is set to return to action after missing 10 days due to a sprained left ankle. The slugger is back in the starting lineup upon his activation, as he's playing right field and batting sixth against Cleveland on Saturday. Garcia will take the 26-man roster spot made available when Marcus Semien (foot) was placed on the 10-day IL in a corresponding move.

Garcia will be activated after spending the minimum 10 days on the injured list due to a sprained left ankle. Expect the 32-year-old to reclaim his regular spot in right field. Garcia is slashing .224/.266/.388 in 473 plate appearances this season.

Rangers' Adolis Garcia: Lands on IL with sprained ankle
The Rangers placed Garcia on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a left ankle sprain, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Garcia played the entirety of Tuesday's loss to the Diamondbacks, so it's unclear when he was injured. He will be eligible for activation Aug. 23, but it's uncertain at this point whether he will be ready to return on that date. Evan Carter (back) has been activated from the IL to absorb Garcia's roster spot.

Garcia notched his first three-hit game since July 1, falling a triple shy of the cycle Sunday. The outfielder walked in his fourth plate appearance as well. He has hit 16 round trippers this season, and he has 21 doubles. In his last 12 games, Garcia is 10-for-47 (.213) with three home runs and nine runs scored.

Garcia has hit safely in six straight games and in nine of his last 10 contests, and he's hitting .289 with four extra-base hits (two doubles and two homers) during the latter stretch. The outfielder isn't known for his consistency at the plate, instead relying on power and run production. For the season, he's batting .231 with a .665 OPS, 11 homers, 53 RBI, 32 runs scored, 19 doubles and nine stolen bases over 89 contests. While it's not a great stat line overall, his recent momentum offers some encouragement if he can sustain it in the second half.

Garcia has been slowly inching his way back up the order after falling to eighth -- he hit out of the fifth spot for a second straight game Wednesday. After getting a mental break over the transition from May to June, he's deserved a promotion. Garcia is batting .327/.358/.490 over the 13 games since returning from the break. Six of his last 11 hits have gone for extra bases, and Garcia's driven in eight runs over the last nine contests.
