Burke continued his recent strong stretch of pitching, notching his fourth straight quality start and registering double-digit punchouts for the second time during that span. He got through five scoreless frames, but a three-run Astros sixth, aided by a hit-by-pitch and a Braden Montgomery error, gave Houston all the offense needed to send Burke to the loss. Still, Burke is in the midst of a breakout campaign, and his uptick in punchouts of late -- he's posted eight or more strikeouts five times across his past seven outings -- is particularly promising from a fantasy perspective. The right-hander will look to keep rolling in his next start, which is projected to be a home matchup against the Yankees.

Burke came just two strikeouts shy of matching his season high in that category, and this was the fourth time in his last five outings he's fanned at least eight. With a 1.69 ERA across 32 innings over that five-game stretch, Burke heads into the All-Star break full of momentum. He'll aim to carry his impressive run of results into his next start, tentatively scheduled for Friday, July 17, on the road against the Blue Jays.

Burke also tied his season high in strikeouts Monday and has racked up 22 punchouts in his last 19 innings of work.

Burke kept Cleveland off the board through four innings, aided by stranding two runners in scoring position during the third, before the right-hander served up a solo homer to Kahlil Watson to lead off the fifth. Burke again escaped trouble later in the inning, stranding the bases loaded. The 25-year-old has now earned a win in three of his last four starts while recording 27 strikeouts during that span. The right-hander was dominant Thursday, generating a whopping 20 whiffs and an elite 39.2 percent whiff rate. His eight strikeouts matched a season high and were especially encouraging given his recent inconsistency, as he entered Thursday with a 5.82 ERA over his previous seven appearances.
