Marlins' Owen Caissie: Activated from IL
The Marlins reinstated Caissie (calf) from the injured list Saturday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Caissie played three games after beginning a rehab assignment at Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, going 3-for-7 with two homers and an additional RBI and run scored. He'll now return to the active roster for the first time since July 9, but he'll miss out on the starting nine Saturday with left-hander Zac Thornton toeing the slab for the Mets. Graham Pauley was optioned to Jacksonville in a corresponding move.

Marlins' Owen Caissie: Quick start to rehab stint
Caissie (calf) went 1-for-1 with two walks and a solo home run for Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old outfielder hasn't suited up for the Marlins since July 8 due to a calf strain, but he made an immediate impact on his rehab assignment after being cleared for game action. Caissie was the DH on Tuesday, but per Perla Paredes of MLB.com, Marlins manager Clayton McCullough indicated Caissie would play defense Wednesday, and he could be activated from the IL as soon as this weekend.

Marlins' Owen Caissie: Takes BP on Monday
Caissie (calf) was spotted taking live batting practice at LoanDepot Park on Monday, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.
Barral previously reported Wednesday that Caissie was running at about 85 percent intensity and increasing his defensive and plyometric work, and the young outfielder's ability to face live pitching Monday seemingly represents another step in the right direction. Caissie has been on the shelf since July 9 due to a right calf strain but could soon be ready to head out on a minor-league rehab assignment.

Marlins' Owen Caissie: Cleared for rehab assignment
Caissie (calf) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Caissie is scheduled to play three games with Jacksonville before being re-evaluated, so he would appear to have a shot at returning from the 10-day injured list as soon as this weekend. Before being deactivated July 9 due to a right calf strain, Caissie had cobbled together a .239/.297/.459 slash line with 12 home runs, four stolen bases, 50 RBI and 30 runs over 80 games with Miami.

Marlins' Owen Caissie: Progressing in recovery
Caissie (calf) has been cleared to hit and has increased his defensive and plyometric work, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.
Caissie has also been running "up to 85 percent" intensity and continues to progress in his recovery from a mild right calf strain that landed him on the injured list July 9. The initial recovery timeline was 2-to-4 weeks, so the 24-year-old outfielder could be back with the Marlins by late July or early August, depending on when/if he goes on a rehab assignment.

Marlins' Owen Caissie: Expected to miss 2-to-4 weeks
Caissie was diagnosed with a mild right calf strain Thursday, Craig Mish of FanDuel Sports Network Florida reports.
Caissie landed on the injured list Thursday after making an early exit from Wednesday's game, and although the severity of his strain is mild, he'll still have to spend more than the 10-day minimum on the IL and aim to rejoin the Marlins at some point in late July or early August. In the meantime, Rece Hinds, Heriberto Hernandez and Esteury Ruiz will be in the mix for starts in the outfield.

Marlins' Owen Caissie: Lands on IL with strained calf
The Marlins placed Caissie on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a right calf strain.
Caissie suffered the injury during Wednesday's contest against the Mariners. It's unclear what the severity of the strain is, but even a mild calf strain could result in longer than a minimum absence for Caissie. Rece Hinds is grabbing Caissie's roster spot, and he will be in the mix for starts in the outfield along with Heriberto Hernandez and Esteury Ruiz while Caissie is out.

Marlins' Owen Caissie: Likely headed to injured list
The Marlins are likely to place Caissie (calf) on the 10-day injured list prior to Thursday's game against the Mariners, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Caissie had to be lifted from Wednesday's contest with right calf tightness. He could be dealing with a strain, but the Marlins will have more specifics on Caissie's status later Thursday. Heriberto Hernandez and Esteury Ruiz will likely see an uptick in playing time while Caissie is shelved, and Rece Hinds is expected to take Caissie's spot on the active roster.

He's gone yard in back-to-back contests, giving him eight homers on the season, but over 13 games in June, Caissie's still slashing just .167/.238/.472 with a 33.3 percent strikeout rate.
