Vikings' Kyler Murray: In concussion protocol, day-to-day
Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday that Murray is in concussion protocol and will be evaluated day by day leading up Sunday's road game in Chicago, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
In his Vikings debut during Sunday's 39-22 win over Green Bay, Murray completed three of five passes for 18 yards and an interception and ran twice for nine yards before being ruled out after sustaining the head injury when he was crunched between a pair of Packers defenders in the first quarter. Carson Wentz came on in relief and performed admirably to lead the Vikings to a come-from-behind victory, and with Murray facing an uphill battle to clear the five-step protocol before the weekend, Wentz will be the likely starter for the matchup with the Bears. On a positive note, Stefanski said that Murray is feeling better and was able to participate in meetings and watch film Monday, but Murray will still need his concussion symptoms to dissipate before he's able to do any on-field work.

Vikings' Kyler Murray: Being evaluated for concussion
Murray is undergoing a concussion evaluation after taking a hard hit in Sunday's Week 1 matchup versus the Packers.
Murray was dealt a blow to the head by Javon Bullard on a play that drew an unnecessary roughness penalty. The Vikings quarterback immediately went to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion. Carson Wentz replaced Murray behind center for Minnesota and will direct the Vikings' offense moving forward if Murray is unable to return.

Vikings' Kyler Murray: Won't return to Sunday's game
Murray (concussion) has been ruled out of Sunday's contest against the Packers, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.
Murray was sandwiched by a pair of Green Bay defenders while going to the ground in the first quarter, drawing an unnecessary roughness penalty in the process. He immediately was under evaluation for a head injury before the Vikings deemed him unable to return. Carson Wentz took over under center for Murray, while J.J. McCarthy's status as the emergency third quarterback means he could make an appearance if Wentz also leaves with an injury.
