Lambson didn't appear once for the Brewers in spring training. The 26-year-old most recently pitched at Double-A Biloxi, where he accumulated a 4.26 ERA across 6.1 innings. If a team should choose to pick Lambson up, he'd likely serve as organizational depth.

Brewers' Mitch Lambson: Hits bump after strong early outings

Lambson was shaken up in Friday's loss as he walked three batters and gave up two runs in 1.1 innings.
Up until Friday's outing versus Memphis, Lambson had been a solid option from the bullpen. In his first three games he gave up just one hit over 3.1 innings, striking out five along the way. Only time will tell if his performance Friday will be the norm, or simply an outlier, but the team has reason to believe that he can become an asset to them (at least at the minor league level) as he has had two straight seasons with an ERA below 2.50. However, in each of those seasons he played in both Double-A and Triple-A, so whether or not he can maintain strong performances at a higher level has yet to be seen.
