Daniel Corcino: Gets opportunity in Mexico
Corcino signed a contract Monday with the Guadalajara Mariachis of the Mexican League.
Corcino heads to Mexico after spending the 2020 campaign in the Dodgers organization before he was released last July. The 30-year-old right-hander previously made seven appearances in the majors between the Reds and the Dodgers, posting a 3.97 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 22.2 innings.

Dodgers' Daniel Corcino: Rejoins Dodgers
Corcino agreed to a minor-league contract with the Dodgers in December.
Corcino's deal presumably includes an invitation to major-league spring training, but he'll more than likely be ticketed for Triple-A Oklahoma City to begin the campaign. Save for four appearances with Double-A Tulsa and two outings with the Dodgers -- his first at the major-league level since 2014 -- Corcino pitched exclusively for the Pacific Coast League affiliate in 2018, registering a 3.40 ERA and 102:41 K:BB across 103.1 innings.

Dodgers' Daniel Corcino: Goes unclaimed off waivers
Corcino was outrighted to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday.
Corcino was dumped from the 40-man roster Wednesday, when he was designated for assignment after the Dodgers needed to clear a spot for the newly acquired Dylan Floro. After going unclaimed off waivers, Corcino will stick in the organization and continue working in a starting role for the Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate. Over 56.2 innings in the minors this season, Corcino has posted a 3.02 ERA and 58:25 K:BB.

Corcino was designated for assignment Wednesday, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Corcino was removed from the 40-man roster after the Dodgers acquired Dylan Floro and Zach Neal from the Reds. The 27-year-old allowed one earned run in four innings for the Dodgers earlier in the season and has a solid 2.94 ERA in 49 innings for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Corcino is likely unavailable after pitching three innings in Tuesday's win over the Rangers -- allowing one earned run and picking up his first career big-league save in the process -- so he'll head back to the minors to free up a roster spot for Wednesday's starter, Kenta Maeda. The 27-year-old will continue to serve as organizational pitching depth for the Dodgers.

Corcino signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers and was assigned to High-A Rancho Cucamonga, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.
Corcino hasn't appeared in the majors since 2014, so it's unlikely he'll do much more than provide organizational depth. Corcino began the season in the Cubs' organization and played at Double-A Tennessee, where he posted an 8.68 ERA and 1.61 WHIP over five games (9.1 innings).

Corcino signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers on Wednesday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
Corcino made four appearances last season across Double-A Tulsa and Double-A Pensacola, conceding six earned runs in 6.2 innings with 11 strikeouts and eight walks. While his high strikeout total bodes well for his future, eight walks in 6.2 innings will be a big problem if he is to advance through the Dodgers' system.
