  • Buddy Baumann: Let go by O's

The Orioles released Baumann on Wednesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. The 34-year-old southpaw linked up with the Orioles on a minor-league deal March 7, but after he served up three earned runs over 1.1 innings across three Grapefruit League appearances, the organization elected to part ways with him. Baumann, who last appeared in the majors in 2018, previously announced his retirement in 2019 before reviving his career after a two-year hiatus. Now a free agent again, Baumann will have to settle for a minor-league deal with another organization if he wants to keep playing.

  • Orioles' Buddy Baumann: Signs with Orioles

Baumann signed a minor-league contract with the Orioles on Wednesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. The southpaw has made 38 relief appearances in the majors between 2016 and 2018, and he posted a 5.58 ERA and 1.47 WHIP in 30.2 innings during that time.
