  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Rattles off three more points

Bouchard scored twice on four shots, added a power-play assist and went plus-4 in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Bouchard was right in the middle of the Oilers' five-goal second period. The 26-year-old defenseman is the first blueliner to cross the 10-point mark this year, doing so with six goals, five assists, 16 shots on net and a plus-10 rating over four appearances. There's been no slow start on offense in Edmonton this season, and Bouchard's strong play cements his status as one of the top blueliners in the league.

  • Devon Levi G | EDM

Oilers' Devon Levi: Overcomes rough first period

Levi allowed two goals on 31 shots in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Beckett Sennecke scored twice in the first period, but Levi locked in over the final 40 minutes. The Oilers' offense also stepped up with a five-goal second period to give him support. Levi has won all three of his starts so far despite allowing 10 goals on 73 shots in those games. The Oilers' next game is Saturday versus the Sharks, and if Levi gets the start and plays well in that one, he may be considered the early leader for the No. 1 job between the pipes in Edmonton.

  • Avalanche's Fedor Svechkov: Earns two points Wednesday

Svechkov scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Jets.

Svechkov has opened the season as the Avalanche's third-line center. The 23-year-old typically plays more of a defensive role, so it's unlikely he'll be a major force on offense. These were his first two points of the season, and he's added four shots on net, two blocked shots, one hit and a plus-3 rating over three appearances.

  • Jaden Schwartz LW | COL

Avalanche's Jaden Schwartz: One of each in loss

Schwartz scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, doled out two hits and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Jets.

Schwartz has picked up a pair of multi-point efforts through three games. His opening tally Wednesday was his first goal of the year to go with three assists, seven shots on net, four hits and an even plus-minus rating. The 34-year-old Schwartz isn't exactly in the best spot for offense, serving as a third-line winger, but he's getting the job done for now alongside Fedor Svechkov and T.J. Hughes.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Handed loss Wednesday

Blackwood stopped 16 of 19 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Jets.

The Jets' top line got all three goals, including Kyle Connor's second snipe of the night with one minute left in the third period. Blackwood has allowed eight goals on 76 shots while going 2-1-0 over his three starts this season. The 29-year-old netminder has received a starter's workload early on, though he'll be due for rest when the Avalanche finish their back-to-back in Calgary on Thursday. Expect Scott Wedgewood to get the nod in that game.

  • Jets' Dylan Samberg: Dishes pair of assists

Samberg notched two assists, two shots on goal, five hits and two PIM in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Avalanche.

Samberg picked up his first points of the season in this contest. He's added four shots on net, seven hits, nine blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over four contests while filling a top-four role. Samberg is primarily a shutdown defenseman, having maxed out at 20 points over 60 games in the 2024-25 regular season. He could get a bit more usage if Josh Morrissey (upper body) ends up missing time after exiting Wednesday's game.

  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Supplies pair of assists

Scheifele notched two assists and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Avalanche.

While linemates Kyle Connor and Cole Perfetti are off to hot starts this year, Scheifele had been left in the dust. He changed that Wednesday, setting up a goal for each of his wingers in this impressive win. Scheifele has added six shots on net, two hits and an even plus-minus rating. Even with the slow start, the 33-year-old center's top-line usage and history of strong offense should give fantasy managers confidence he'll get on track sooner rather than later.

  • Jets' Cole Perfetti: Finds twine in win

Perfetti scored a goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Avalanche.

Perfetti's goal streak is up to three games, and he's yet to be held off the scoresheet this season. The 24-year-old winger has three goals, three assists, four power-play points, 12 shots on net, seven hits and a minus-1 rating over four appearances. Perfetti is playing right wing alongside the well-established top-line duo of Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor. If he stays there, Perfetti has a good chance of getting back to the 50-point mark after missing that threshold with 32 points over 68 outings in 2025-26.

  • Kyle Connor LW | WPG

Jets' Kyle Connor: Strong start continues Wednesday

Connor scored twice on four shots and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Avalanche.

Connor tied the game at 1-1 just 1:10 after the Avalanche opened the scoring in the second period. The winger scored again with a minute left in the third, giving the Jets the win. Connor is blazing hot to start the season, earning five goals, two assists, 24 shots on net, three blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over four contests in his typical top-line spot.

  • Jets' Stuart Skinner: Defeats Avalanche

Skinner stopped 32 of 34 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Avalanche.

Skinner faced one of the league's toughest opponents and came away with a win, allowing just a pair of goals to Colorado's third line. That's the second straight win for Skinner, who has faced heavy traffic through three games. He's stopped 91 of 99 shots while going 2-0-1, but the 27-year-old hasn't often displayed extended runs of success, so there may be some luck involved so far. He's taken a firm grasp of the starting job for the Jets, and he's worth rostering in fantasy as long as the results keep going in his favor. The Jets' next game is at home versus the Ducks on Friday.
