  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Pulls off upset win

Saros stopped 29 of 30 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.

Saros had allowed 10 goals on 93 shots over his last three games, going 0-1-2 in that span. He responded with his most impressive win of the campaign, taking down the defending champions with a strong outing. Saros is now 4-3-4 with a 2.77 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 11 starts. Results will likely remain consistently modest in Nashville, but Saros' heavy workload makes him a decent fantasy goalie. He may still be someone to avoid when the Predators visit the Avalanche on Thursday.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: First multi-goal game of season

Point scored twice in a 4-2 win over the Red Wings on Tuesday.

It was his first multi-goal game of the 2026-27 season. Point's first came on the power play when he partially fanned on a one-timer in the slot, but the puck still slid five-hole on John Gibson. After his slow start, Point has seven points (four goals, three assists) during a five-game point streak, and he's up to 13 points (five goals, eight assists) in 14 games overall. The ice on his game is finally defrosting.

  • Oilers' Kasperi Kapanen: Deals two power-play assists

Kapanen notched two power-play assists in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Devils.

Kapanen has taken over the fifth spot on the top power-play unit that Vasily Podkolzin had held for much of the first month of the season. That comes amid a stretch where Kapanen has a goal and four helpers over five contests. The 30-year-old forward probably won't maintain that power-play spot for the rest of the season, but he's a good streaming forward in fantasy as long as he's there. He's up to nine points (six on the power play), 23 shots on net, 36 hits and a minus-4 rating over 16 outings this season.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Nets power-play goal

Draisaitl scored a power-play goal on four shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Devils.

Draisaitl had gone four games without a goal on the heels of a six-game, nine-goal, 14-point stretch. The 31-year-old is up to 13 tallies, 29 points (11 on the power play), 57 shots on net and a plus-15 rating across 16 appearances this season. He ranks second in the NHL to linemate Connor McDavid (40) in points through Tuesday's action. Draisaitl's continued success and reliability make him one of the safest players to roster in fantasy.

  • Dylan Guenther RW | UTA

    Mammoth's Dylan Guenther: Power-play machine

Guenther scored a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Toronto.

Guenther got the Mammoth on the board on the power play with three seconds left in the first period. It was his sixth goal of the season (11th point); five of his snipes and eight of his points have come on the power play. It seems like Guenther is off to a slow start to the season, but he's on pace to top 30 goals and fire more than 200 shots. Expectations were sky high for the young sniper after he tapped the keg 40 times in 79 games last season, finishing in a tie for 13th on the league sniper list. Guenther won't be able to sustain the disproportionate power-play production -- last season's PPG leader, Wyatt Johnson, put up 27 of his 45 snipes with the man advantage. He'll find his way 5v5 soon enough.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Adds two points Tuesday

Bouchard scored a goal and added a power-play assist in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Devils.

Bouchard's current four-game point streak has seen him earn two goals and five assists. While he hasn't been quite as explosive as he was to start the campaign, the 27-year-old defenseman is making strong performances routine as the Oilers' top blueliner. He's at nine goals, 19 assists, 46 shots on net, 17 blocked shots and a plus-23 rating over 16 appearances, trailing only superstar teammates Connor McDavid (40) and Leon Draisaitl (29) in points so far this year.

  • Mammoth's Nick Schmaltz: First goal in six games stands as winner

Schmaltz notched a power-play goal Tuesday in a 3-2 win over Toronto.

The goal, which came in the third period, broke a 2-2 tie; he jammed in a rebound that lay loose in the crease. It was Schmaltz's eighth goal of the season and first in six games. His scoring has slowed dramatically from his scorching start to the season, but that was expected -- there's almost no way to sustain a 10-game, 13-point heater, at least for him. Schmaltz has four points (one goal) in his last six games, but three of those points has come with the man advantage. Prior to last season's 33-goal, 74-point success, Schmaltz was a very consistent 58-63 point player with 20-23 goals. It's more likely he's the guy pre-last season than he is the sniper he was last season.

  • Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Posts two points on milestone night

Nugent-Hopkins scored a power-play goal, dished an assist and added two PIM in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Devils.

This was Nugent-Hopkins' 1,038th regular-season game for the Oilers, setting the franchise record for games played. The 33-year-old has been with the team since he was drafted first overall in 2011. He's off to a strong start after recovering from a lower-body injury, earning four goals, five assists, 15 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating through seven appearances on the year. Five of his nine points have come on the power play.

  • Oilers' Tristan Jarry: Handed shootout loss

Jarry stopped 31 of 34 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Devils.

Jarry had posted consecutive shutouts in his last two starts. He kept the Devils off the board in the first period, but they cashed in three times in the second and Arseny Gritsyuk had the decisive tally in the shootout. Despite the setback, Jarry has taken big strides over the last week-plus to prove he can handle the starting job while Devon Levi (undisclosed) is out. Jarry is 4-1-3 with a 2.57 GAA and an .898 save percentage across eight starts this season. The Oilers are back home for their next game, hosting the Ducks on Thursday.

  • Ryan Leonard RW | WAS

Capitals' Ryan Leonard: One of each in slugfest

Leonard recorded a goal, picked up an assist, put two shots on net and recorded three hits in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to Dallas.

Leonard slid the primary helper on Boone Jenner's tally late in the second period before later bringing the Capitals within one goal with a tally of his own late in the third. Overall, the 21-year-old Leonard is up to five goals, 10 points, 37 shots on net and 26 hits over 14 outings this season. Tuesday's pair of points helped him snap his four-game scoreless skid. He's back on track to surpass the 20-goal, 45-point targets he posted across 75 regular-season outings in his rookie campaign. Leonard is a solid waiver-wire add in deep leagues that place a premium on players who deliver hits alongside offensive contributions.
