  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Sharp in win

Kochetkov stopped 18 of 19 shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Flyers.

Kochetkov has won all three of his outings this season. He's allowed just five goals on 57 shots in those contests as the Hurricanes' defense continues to make life easy on the team's goaltenders. Brandon Bussi started the first two games of the year, but the two netminders have alternated starts since. With Kochetkov playing well, it wouldn't be surprising if he continues to command a decent share of starts. Both goalies are quality fantasy options for managers in search of wins.

  • Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Buries goal in Sunday's loss

Pettersson scored a goal on two shots, added four hits and went plus-2 in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Rangers.

While the Canucks lost, Pettersson was a bright spot. The defenseman has two goals through seven games this season, though he hasn't supplied an assist. He has added eight shots on net, 13 hits, 12 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating, which is impressive defensive work on a team that is struggling as a whole. Pettersson doesn't have widespread fantasy appeal, but he could help in banger leagues.

  • Jake DeBrusk LW | VAN

Canucks' Jake DeBrusk: Scores again in loss

DeBrusk scored a goal in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Rangers.

DeBrusk has earned three goals and an assist over three games since he missed two contests due to an illness. The 29-year-old winger is filling a top-line role with the Canucks, though the lines have shuffled frequently as the team is off to a 2-5-0 start to the season. DeBrusk has three goals, two assists, 16 shots on net, five hits and an even plus-minus rating. Given his significant power-play role, he's worth a look for fantasy managers who can afford to take a risk with a depth forward.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Tagged for six goals in loss

Lankinen stopped 19 of 25 shots in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Rangers.

Lankinen took the loss in a brief relief appearance Saturday, but he was not good in his start Sunday. After winning his season debut, Lankinen has lost his last five outings, allowing six or more goals in three of those defeats. He's also been pulled twice. Lankinen won't be winning anyone over with a 6.88 GAA and a .779 save percentage through six appearances. If he continues to struggle, Leevi Merilainen could supplant him as the Canucks' top goalie until Thatcher Demko (hip) is ready to play. The Canucks' road trip continues against the Islanders on Tuesday.

  • Noah Laba C | NYR

Rangers' Noah Laba: Chips in with helper

Laba notched an assist and two hits in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Canucks.

Laba has two helpers, five shots on net, 13 hits, four blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over seven contests this season. The 23-year-old center is in his second NHL campaign, and he's emerged as a decent third-line defensive center. Laba had 24 points over 74 outings as a rookie last year, but don't expect a significant bump in offense for him in 2026-27.

  • Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Adds pair of assists in win

Zibanejad notched two assists, including one on the power play, and added three shots on net, two blocked shots and two PIM in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Canucks.

Zibanejad is up to three multi-point efforts over seven games this season. While his finishing touch has been a little lacking, he's still playing a key role on the Rangers' top line and first power-play unit. The veteran center has a goal, six assists, 14 shots on net, 13 hits, seven blocked shots and a plus-3 rating.

  • J.T. Miller C | NYR

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Generates pair of assists

Miller recorded two assists and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Canucks.

Miller earned his first multi-point effort of the campaign. The 33-year-old is centering the second line and playing on the first power-play unit early in the year. Miller has racked up a goal and four assists during a four-game point streak. Over seven contests in total, he's added 10 shots on net, 12 hits, 11 PIM and a plus-3 rating. Miller should continue to offer well-rounded production as he tries to get back over the 60-point mark he missed in 2025-26.

  • Gabe Perreault RW | NYR

Rangers' Gabe Perreault: Goal, assist in win

Perreault scored a goal on two shots and added a power-play assist in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Canucks.

Perreault picked up his first multi-point effort of the season with this performance. He's earned three goals, three assists, 10 shots on net, a plus-2 rating, four hits and four blocked shots over seven appearances. Perreault is playing on the first line and also sees power-play time, so he's in a good spot to continue racking up points as he continues to grow as a full-time NHLer.

  • Rangers' Alexis Lafreniere: Earns two points in win

Lafreniere scored a power-play goal on two shots and added an assist in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Canucks.

Lafreniere started a little slow this season, but he's turned things around with a four-game point streak. That span accounts for all of his offense so far (five goals, three assists). The 25-year-old winger has added 14 shots on net, nine hits and a plus-4 rating over seven appearances. Lafreniere's top-six and power-play roles look secure, putting him in a good position to try for a career year in his seventh NHL campaign.

  • Will Cuylle LW | NYR

Rangers' Will Cuylle: Two goals in Sunday's win

Cuylle scored twice on three shots and added four hits in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Canucks.

Cuylle earned his first two goals of the season in this contest. The 24-year-old winger is currently in a third-line role, though he could get moved into the top six the next time the Rangers shuffle their lines. He has five points, 18 shots on net, 26 hits, 13 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through seven appearances this season. More ice time would be better, but Cuylle's already providing well-rounded production.
