Kirill Kaprizov LW | MIN
Wild's Kirill Kaprizov: Scores twice in win
Kaprizov scored two goals, including one on the power play, in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Bruins.
Kaprizov's second tally was an empty-netter off a turnover to ice the win. The 29-year-old winger has three goals on six shots and a plus-2 rating across the first two games of the season. When he's on, Kaprizov is among the best scoring wingers in the NHL, and he's taken no time to get up to speed this year.

Jesper Wallstedt G | MIN
Wild's Jesper Wallstedt: Strong in Saturday's win
Wallstedt stopped 26 of 27 shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Bruins.
Boston was on the second half of a back-to-back, which may have made things a little easier for Wallstedt. He delivered a second good performance to open the season, as the 23-year-old is looking more than ready to handle a starter's workload in the absence of Filip Gustavsson. Wallstedt has given up just two goals on 47 shots in his pair of wins to start 2026-27. The Wild begin a three-game road trip in Buffalo on Tuesday.

Mason Shaw C | WPG
Wild's Mason Shaw: Three-point effort for Iowa
Shaw scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Iowa's 4-3 shootout win over Texas on Saturday.
Shaw is back in the Wild's organization after two years with AHL Manitoba. In those campaigns, he produced 32 goals and 49 assists over 143 regular-season contests while adding some grit. He had previous spent parts of seven seasons with Iowa, and he's now captaining the minor-league club as a veteran forward.

Linus Ullmark G | OTT
Senators' Linus Ullmark: Strong when game on line
Ullmark made 27 saves in a 3-2 win over Toronto on Saturday.
Ullmark was strong when he needed to be, especially in the second period when he stretched to get a toe on a great shot by William Nylander to keep the score knotted 2-2. Ullmark's overall stat line last year was mid, but he sparkled with a 14-4-3 record, 2.43 GAA and .904 save percentage in his final 21 starts after returning from a mental health leave. He's the key to the team's success this season post-Brady Tkachuk.

Thomas Chabot D | OTT
Senators' Thomas Chabot: Statement game as new team captain
Chabot scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
It was a statement game for the new Senators captain. Chabot put the Sens up 1-0 late in the first period on rebound. And he stepped up when Jake Sanderson (lower body) left the game early and didn't return. Chabot himself has a long history of injury, and he's played a full season just once (80 games in 2024-25) in 10 seasons as a regular. Still, he's capable of a 40-point campaign with some power-play production, and that's valuable in a lot of formats.

Charlie Lindgren G | WAS
Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Strong in loss
Lindgren made 27 saves in a 3-1 loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday.
He allowed two goals. It was a sharp start for Lindgren, who is looking to bounce back after an injury-riddled season that made it difficult for him to get into a rhythm in the blue paint. The crease is Logan Thompson's, but Lindgren could get 30 starts if he can continue this momentum.
-
Justin Sourdif C | WAS
Capitals' Justin Sourdif: Goal-scorer's goal in loss
Sourdif scored a goal in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Tampa Bay.
Sourdif slid into the slot and showed off his soft hands when he redirected a slap pass from Jacob Chychrun past Andrei Vasilevskiy. It was a goal scorer's goal for a guy who burst onto the scene last year with a 15-goal, 35-point rookie campaign. Sourdif is currently centering the fourth line, but he could slide into the top nine with continued development.

Charle-Edouard D'Astous D | TB
Lightning's Charle-Edouard D'Astous: Snipes goal in win
D'Astous scored a goal in Saturday's 3-1 win over Washington.
D'Astous delivered a surprisingly strong debut season in 2025-26 with 29 points (six goals, 23 assists), 112 PIM, 96 hits and 74 blocks in 70 games last season. He has been a point producer at every level and in every league he's played in, both in North America and Europe, and he's found a way to translate his game into the NHL. D'Astous is behind Victor Hedman and John Carlson on the blue line and power play, but that changes with a single injury.
-
Emil Martinsen Lilleberg D | TB
Lightning's Emil Lilleberg: Leaves Saturday's game
Lilleberg sustained an undisclosed injury in Saturday's game versus the Capitals, and there was no update on his status from head coach Jon Cooper after the contest, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.
Lilleberg was hurt early in the third period. The 25-year-old defenseman picked up a helper prior to his exit. The Lightning dressed seven blueliners Saturday, so they'll have some options for their roster if Lilleberg is unavailable Monday versus the Flyers. Defenseman Max Crozier could come in if the team sticks with seven defensemen, or one of Jansen Harkins or Scott Sabourin could get the call instead.

Conor Geekie C | TB
Lightning's Conor Geekie: Sharp goal in win
Geekie scored a goal Saturday in a 3-1 win over Washington. It stood as the winner.
Geekie fired a one-timer from the right circle that beat Charlie Lindgren stick side. He's earned the fourth-line center role in Tampa Bay, and there's every opportunity for the young pivot to deliver a new career mark if he can focus his game this season. Geekie's best came two seasons ago with 14 points, including eight goals, in 52 games. Last year, he took another step in the AHL with 28 goals, 51 assists, a plus-12 rating and 82 PIM. He represented Syracuse at the AHL All-Star Classic.
