  • Leo Carlsson C | ANA

Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Stands out with playmaking

Carlsson logged three power-play assists and two blocked shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Panthers.

Carlsson helped out on both of Cutter Gauthier's tallies in regulation before setting up Mikael Granlund's overtime winner. Through two games, Carlsson has a goal and four assists, as well as two shots on net and three blocked shots. The 21-year-old center should continue to be a steady source of option while receiving significant ice time on the first line and top power-play unit.

  • Ducks' Mikael Granlund: Nets overtime winner on power play

Granlund scored a power-play goal on two shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Panthers.

Granlund's tally at 4:14 of overtime sealed the victory. The 34-year-old has a goal and an assist across two games this season while primarily centering the second line. Granlund was fine in 2025-26 with 41 points, 117 shots on net and a minus-9 rating over 58 regular-season contests, and he'll continue to provide complementary scoring as a veteran on a young team.

  • Ducks' Cutter Gauthier: Shines on power play

Gauthier scored twice on four shots and added an assist, all on the power play, in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Panthers.

Gauthier scored in the first and second periods before helping out on Mikael Granlund's tally in overtime. Through two contests, Gauthier has four points, nine shots, four PIM, five hits and a plus-1 rating. He signed a six-year contract just before training camp, cementing his status as a core played for the Ducks in the years to come.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Picks up overtime win

Dostal stopped 29 of 31 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Panthers.

Dostal has faced a couple of tough opponents to start the season and come away with two wins and five goals allowed on 61 shots. The Ducks' power play did the heavy lifting Sunday, with Cutter Gauthier scoring twice and Mikael Granlund adding the winner in overtime. Dostal should continue to see steady usage as the top goalie in Anaheim. The Ducks' next game is at home versus the Oilers on Wednesday.

  • Avalanche's Tristen Nielsen: Tallies twice in AHL win

Nielsen scored two goals in AHL Colorado's 5-3 win over Tucson on Sunday.

Nielsen had a career year with 49 points over 66 regular-season outings for the Eagles last year. The 26-year-old forward probably won't see much action with the Avalanche, but he should be a reliable minor-league scorer.

  • Sharks' Ethan Cardwell: Supplies three helpers for Barracuda

Cardwell logged three assists in AHL San Jose's 5-4 overtime win over San Diego on Sunday.

Cardwell cleared waivers prior to the start of the NHL campaign, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him get a call-up. He had 15 points over 24 regular-season games with the Barracuda last year, though he had topped the 40-point mark in his first two years in the AHL.

  • Tye Felhaber LW | COL

Sharks' Tye Felhaber: Three helpers in AHL win

Felhaber logged three assists in AHL San Jose's 5-4 overtime win over San Diego on Sunday.

Felhaber is a journeyman at this point in his career. He's spent large chunks of the last three years in the AHL, most recently earning 75 points over 130 regular-season games for AHL Colorado over the last two years. With the depth and quality of prospects in the Sharks' system, it's unlikely he gets much of a look at the NHL level this year.

  • Sharks' Filip Bystedt: Produces three points Sunday

Bystedt scored twice and added an assist in AHL San Jose's 5-4 overtime win over San Diego.

Bystedt was held off the scoresheet in the Barracuda's season opener before posting a big game this time out. The forward took a leap forward last year with 60 points over 65 regular-season games, nearly doubling his output from his 31-point rookie year in 2024-25. While he's still just 22 years old, Bystedt has gotten a bit passed over by younger and more talented prospects in the Sharks' system, though he could still find his way to the big club with another strong AHL campaign.

  • Jets' Clay Stevenson: Slated to start in Pittsburgh on Monday

Stevenson is expected to tend the twine Monday in Pittsburgh, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Stevenson was waived by the Capitals before the start of the 2026-27 campaign, but he was claimed off waivers by the Jets due to Connor Hellebuyck's suspension. The 27-year-old Stevenson was solid across four regular-season games with Washington last year, going 3-1-0 with a 2.00 GAA and a .921 save percentage. The netminder is set to have a tough task Monday against a Pittsburgh club that has netted 13 goals across its first two games of the season, both of which were wins.

  • Golden Knights' Raphael Lavoie: Still out Sunday

Lavoie (undisclosed) is not an option for Sunday's road game against the Canucks, per SinBin.vegas.

Lavoie has yet to make his season debut, but he's been skating in practices while working his way back from his undisclosed injury. The Quebec native's next opportunity to draw into the lineup will be Tuesday in Seattle.
