He has gone 11-6-3 this campaign with a 2.83 GAA, a .907 save percentage and one shutout in 22 appearances. The Islanders sit 24th in the league with 2.84 goals per game this season. However, the team will get an offensive boost with the return of Bo Horvat (lower body) in Saturday's matchup.

  • Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Called up from minors

Tolopilo was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.

The Canucks sent Jiri Patera back to the minors in a corresponding move. Tolopilo has a 2-3-0 record with a 3.97 GAA and an .881 save percentage in six NHL appearances this season.

He has gone 11-5-4 this campaign with a 2.85 GAA, a .911 save percentage and two shutouts through 21 appearances. Colorado ranks first in the league with 3.94 goals per game this season. Canucks' Jiri Patera: Demoted to AHL

Patera was loaned to AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.

Patera sat on the bench for all three games during his recent recall. He has seen action in one NHL game this season, allowing seven goals on 40 shots Nov. 17 in an 8-5 loss in Florida. The Canucks recalled Nikita Tolopilo from Abbotsford in a corresponding move.

  • Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Moves to non-roster list

Wedgewood (personal) was designated as a non-roster player Saturday.

Wedgewood is expected to return at some point during the team's four-game road trip, which begins against Toronto on Sunday. His wife, Brittany, gave birth to their second child Thursday, according to Corey Masisak of The Denver Post. The Avalanche recalled Isak Posch from AHL Colorado on Saturday to serve as Mackenzie Blackwood's backup.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Struggles again Friday

Blackwood stopped 13 of 19 shots in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Flyers. The seventh goal was an empty-netter at the 16:53 mark of the third period.

Ersson had a solid performance in a challenging matchup against one of the best teams in the league. He earned the win while posting a save percentage above .910 for the second time since Dec. 23. Ersson should remain as the Flyers' No. 1 netminder for the time being, but he's going to return to a backup role once Dan Vladar (lower body) returns. Ersson has gone 2-2-1 with a 3.48 GAA and an .873 save percentage over his last six starts.
