Justin Faulk D | DET
Red Wings' Justin Faulk: Two-point effort Monday
Faulk scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Monday's 5-3 win over the Panthers.
The veteran blueliner helped set up Alex DeBrincat for a goal early in the second period before lighting the lamp himself early in the third. Faulk is on pace for another 40-point campaign, collecting three goals and eight points in 15 games so far with 20 shots on net, 17 blocked shots, 11 hits, 10 PIM and a plus-3 rating.

Trey Taylor D | DAL
Stars' Trey Taylor: Returning to Dallas
Taylor was recalled from AHL Texas on Tuesday.
In the lone AHL outing Taylor appeared in during his brief stint away from Dallas, he scored his first goal of the season. Across nine regular-season outings with Texas, the 24-year-old defenseman has posted a goal, four points and 21 shots on net. Now that he's back with the big club, he'll likely be a rotational blueliner in the absence of Kyle Capobianco (leg).

Logan Mailloux D | STL
Blues' Logan Mailloux: Conditioning assignment on tap
The Blues assigned Mailloux (hand) to AHL Springfield for a conditioning assignment Monday.
Mailloux underwent surgery to address a hand injury in late September, and general manager Alexander Steen said at the time that the 23-year-old defenseman would be re-evaluated in approximately eight weeks. While it's encouraging that Mailloux will join the Blues' minor-league affiliate as part of his recovery process, it's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to game action at the NHL level since he's still several weeks away from when he was initially scheduled to be re-evaluated.

David Spacek D | MIN
Wild's David Spacek: Snags power-play helper
Spacek notched a power-play assist in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Capitals.
Spacek has filled a part-time role even with all the injuries the Wild have had to navigate on the blue line. The 23-year-old has often worked on the third pairing when in the lineup. He has one helper, eight shots on net, eight blocked shots and four hits over eight contests this season. Spacek and Cameron Crotty will compete for playing time until Brock Faber (skull) or Jared Spurgeon (lower body) can return to action.

Shayne Gostisbehere D | CAR
Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Supplies two assists
Gostisbehere notched two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 7-0 win over the Jets.
Gostisbehere's production has been a little spotty lately. He had six helpers over his last nine games, but they've come in a trio of two-assist performances. Overall, the defenseman has two goals, nine helpers, 28 shots on net, 10 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating through 16 appearances. His continued role on the top power-play unit should be enough to keep his offense at a strong level for fantasy managers.

Juuso Valimaki D | CAR
Hurricanes' Juuso Valimaki: Tallies in blowout win
Valimaki scored a goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Sunday's 7-0 win over the Jets.
Valimaki continues to maintain the advantage in a playing-time battle with Mike Reilly. Through six appearances since entering the lineup Oct. 20 versus the Canucks, Valimaki has contributed two goals, one assist, seven shots on net and a plus-8 rating. He's seeing a slice of power-play time as well, though his third-pairing usage at even strength will make it tough to count on consistent offense in fantasy.

Bowen Byram D | CHI
Blackhawks' Bowen Byram: Not yet cleared to return
Head coach Jeff Blashill said Monday that Byram (upper body) hasn't yet been medically cleared to play, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Byram has been skating in a non-contact sweater recently, but he wasn't present for Monday's morning skate. Blashill said that the 25-year-old defenseman is seeing a specialist to try to get him over the "last hurdle" in his recovery process, but Byram will be forced to miss an eighth consecutive game. It's not yet clear whether Byram will be in the mix to return for the Blackhawks' upcoming back-to-back set that includes a game against Florida on Wednesday and a matchup against the Lightning on Thursday.

Keaton Middleton D | COL
Avalanche's Keaton Middleton: Called up Monday
Middleton was recalled from AHL Colorado on Monday.
Middleton was sent down by the Avalanche ahead of the regular season, but he'll rejoin the NHL club to provide additional depth ahead of Colorado's back-to-back set that includes a game against Chicago on Monday and a matchup against Columbus on Tuesday. Across his first 11 appearances with the AHL club this year, Middleton has recorded an assist, seven PIM and a plus-2 rating.

Kaedan Korczak D | PIT
Penguins' Kaedan Korczak: Won't practice Monday
Korczak is considered day-to-day due to a lower-body injury and won't practice Monday.
Korczak has appeared in each of the Penguins' first 14 games of the regular season, and he's recorded six assists, 20 blocked shots, 11 hits and four PIM while averaging 18:21 of ice time. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Tuesday's game against the Golden Knights, but Ilya Solovyov will be a candidate to enter the lineup if Korczak is sidelined.

Quinn Hughes D | MIN
Wild's Quinn Hughes: Opens scoring Sunday
Hughes scored a goal on three shots in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Capitals.
Hughes gave Minnesota an early advantage just 3:42 into the first period, skating into the high slot before beating Logan Thompson for his fifth goal of the season. The defenseman continues to contribute offensively from the blue line, and his ability to create scoring chances independently complements his established playmaking skills. The goal also extended Hughes' point streak to five games, giving him eight points (three goals, five assists) over that span.
