  • Browns' Anthony Schwartz: Avoids inactive list

Schwartz (knee) is active Week 2 against the Texans, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

While Schwartz will be able to suit up despite a trio of limited practices this week, he still projects to be behind both Jarvis Landry and Donovan Peoples-Jones on the wide receiver depth chart. Peoples-Jones will be called upon to start in place of Odell Beckham (knee), but the eventual return of Beckham could jeopardize the targets of Schwartz in Week 3 and beyond. Last week, Schwartz was on the field for 52.5 percent of snaps which allowed him to record three catches (on five targets) for 69 yards.

  • Jets' Jamison Crowder: Surprise scratch Week 2

Crowder (groin) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Reports leading up to game day suggested Crowder would be ready to make his season debut Sunday after he sat out Week 1 due to a positive COVID-19 test, but the wideout's groin injury will ultimately result in him missing a second straight game. Crowder was a limited participant in the Jets' final two practices of Week 2, so he may need to increase his activity next week to have a better chance at gaining clearance for the Jets' Sept. 26 game in Denver. With Crowder sidelined this weekend and Denzel Mims inactive, Braxton Berrios, Elijah Moore and Keelan Cole are candidates to see added work in Week 2 along with Corey Davis.

  • Darnell Mooney WR | NYG

Bears' Darnell Mooney: Suiting up Week 2

Mooney (back) is listed as active Sunday against the Bengals.

Going back to Week 1 prep, Mooney has logged four consecutive full practices, but the Bears have listed him as questionable for both of their first two games of the campaign. Still, he's ready to go Week 2 versus a Cincinnati defense that allowed 22 catches (fourth most in the NFL) to Minnesota wide receivers in the season opener.

  • Gabe Davis WR | BUF

Bills' Gabriel Davis: Cleared for Week 2

Davis (ankle) is active Week 2 against the Dolphins.

Despite missing Wednesday's practice and logging a pair of limited sessions to close out the week, reports out of Buffalo had indicated Davis was trending toward an "active" status. Last week, a three-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter helped Davis reach double-digit fantasy points, but it's worth noting that the second-year wideout was fourth among Buffalo receivers in snap share. Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders each saw more consistent time on the field, so it seems Davis still has some depth chart climbing to do.

  • Jets' Jamison Crowder: Expected to play in Week 2

Crowder (groin) is listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday against the Patriots, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

After being activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier in week, Crowder practiced in a limited fashion Thursday and Friday due to a groin issue. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, head coach Robert Saleh expressed optimism about the statuses of Crowder and fellow wideout Keelan Cole (knee), and little appears to have changed on that front as the Week 2 contest approaches. Confirmation of Crowder's availability will arrive before the first wave of games Sunday, with the Jets kicking off at 1 p.m. ET.

  • Colts' Parris Campbell: Expected to play Sunday

The Colts are confident that Campbell (abdomen) will be available for Sunday's game against the Rams, despite him being listed as questionable on the official injury report, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Schefter adds that the team wants to test Campbell in pre-game warmups before making a final decision on his status. If active Week 2, Campbell would likely join Michael Pittman (ankle) and Zach Pascal as a fixture in three-receiver sets.

  • Colts' Michael Pittman: Expected to play Sunday

The Colts are confident that Pittman (ankle) will be available for Sunday's game against the Rams, despite him being listed as questionable on the official injury report, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Schefter adds that the team wants to test Pittman in pre-game warmups before making a final decision on his status. Pittman, who was added to the injury report Friday after being a limited participant in practice, will likely operate as Indianapolis' top option on the outside Week 2 with T.Y. Hilton (neck) on injured reserve.

  • Gabe Davis WR | BUF

Bills' Gabriel Davis: On track for Week 2

Davis (ankle) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Davis is still listed as questionable, but he's on track to be active for Week 2. After a seven-touchdown rookie season, Davis started strong in Week 1 with two receptions for 40 yards and a score. However, those touchdowns will be tough to depend on while he's in a deep wideout corps with Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders and Cole Beasley.

  • Seahawks' Dee Eskridge: Downgraded to out

Eskridge (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's contest.

The rookie second-round pick was listed as doubtful following Friday's injury report so it always seemed unlikely Eskridge would play. Expect Penny Hart and Freddie Swain to take over the vacated snaps behind nominal starters DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

  • Jaguars' Laquon Treadwell: Moved up from practice squad

Treadwell was elevated from the practice squad Saturday.

Treadwell actually got to work with starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence more than just about any other pass catcher during the preseason given the team's bizarre choice to delay the No. 1 overall pick officially being named the starter until late August, but it's hard to imagine he'll actually get many snaps given the healthy array of Jaguars wideouts. Expect the Jaguars to elevate Treadwell again next week with a real decision regarding his roster status coming in Week 4.
